Not puzzling at all. I’m more puzzled that you find it puzzling, honestly.

The production the past 2 seasons warrants it. Especially 20+ TD’s last season. Dude broke a freaking record for Pete’s sake. You gotta let him run it back with Achane.

It’s not as if they inked him to a 3, 4, or 5 year deal.

Happy to see Miami taking care of their own. Will go a long way with players I think. However, I’m ready for Miami to invest in a stud RB next year. I’m not confident Achane is that guy. I think he’s a special player that brings a home run hit but I don’t think he’s the guy that gets 15 carries every week.

I want a thumper that can grind out tough yards.

Great signing if we can get close to the same production out of him this year as we did last, but we still desperately need a power RB. We can't go into next season with the same one dimensional speed offense as we did last season and expect different results.

He's a crucial part of the RB committee, not a bell-cow.
He's a 21-TD Dolphins record guy.
He's a McDaniel guy.
He's a 31 year old RB running on 26 year old bruising.
He's a Circumstances-stimulation-tool guy.

He earned a raise IMO...in spades.
