Fox sports does not like 2 of our FA signings

I gotta say I agree with almost that entire article,Grove hasn't proved he can last 16 games,Wilson has speed and not much else,Pace is DONE!,T.J is WAY over paid and barely had an average year in single coverage.

HAHAHAHA hohohohoho What a moron.. He thinks 2 INT's and 3 fumble recoveries for a safety is bad.. for a safety that is a SOLID season... In addition, that moron forgot to mention his 130 tackles, and 1 forced fumble and a freakin safety...

130 tackles, 2 INT's, 1 FF, 3 FR, 1 safety - - The writer is lost on this one...

The rest I would agree with, including Grove.. its going to take a miracle from the trainers to keep Grove injury free

Grove does have durability issues and if he has an injury plagued career with Miami there are certainly those out there that have a right to say "I told you so".

Agreed!

But his note on Gibril Wilson doesn't make much sense.
Sense?

It seems that to earn a paycheck as a feckless sports columnist one must stir the pot with no regard to facts.

"But the Giants allowed him to leave to Oakland last season, where he started and collected $8.4 million in bonuses."

The Giants "allowed" Wilson to leave not because he wasn't a valued player but because they didn't want to pay him what the mental midgets running the Raiders threw at him. Just as we might have kept Goodman if his salary demands were more reasonable.

"Al Davis couldn't wait to unload him after Wilson had just two interceptions and three fumble recoveries."

This is where we learn this columnist is a MORON, or perhaps just incompetent.Everything I've read about Wilsons departure from the Raiders Circus stated that Gabril asked to be released from his very lucrative contract so that he might play for a more competent organization even if it meant taking LESS money than what he was due from the Raiders.I guess mentioning that Wilson led the NFL in tackles at his position would not aid this hacks case.

"Wilson doesn't run well, so Miami cut his bonus down to $5 million this year."

Utter drivel! :vaark:

if i recall WILSON ASKED to be cut. he said davis coudnt wiat to cut him...now thats BS cuz wilson asked it if i recall right.

Wilson was great for the Giants and great for the Raiders. I see a pattern and therefore believe he will play great in Miami. Grove has had injury problems but maybe playing on a team that you want to be with and playing on Sundays knowing you have a chance to win, will help him stay on the field. Seriously, what player would want to fight through injuries to play for the Raiders.

Wow, a lot of talking heads seem to be jumping on the Dolphin bashing bandwagon this week. Prisco writes a stupid article about how much he hates the wildcat formation. This article trying to bash two of our biggest free agent signings. That other thread about an article that says Miami is a team on the decline. ESPN earlier this week saying the Patriots are the team to beat and the Jets are a sleeper and no real mention of the defending champs.

All these talking heads(who by the way gave the Dolphins no shot last year and it came back to bite them) are just throwing fuel on the fire. The more they question and bash the Dolphins, the angrier it will make the team. If you poke a bear with a stick long enough, the bear is going to kick the crap out of you. They are just setting Miami up to destroy the competition. Having doubters is only going to make this team play harder to try and prove teams wrong.

If that is what it takes to motivate our player I don't want them on my team.

the "trigger" IMO is the WildCat. most people like to think we're a one-trick pony that has been figured out. i guess that's the same people who will be in for a big surprise this fall.

That probably just added fuel to the hatred, it's been going on for a few years now, long before the wildcat hit town. My guess is it was around J.J's time, not sure if it were during or right after when the pornstache took over. Don't seem to remember it during Shula's time.

I don't understand why so many in the media hate he phins. I don't remember that being the case in the 70's,80's or 90's. I don't know when it started, I can't remember the "trigger" that started the hatred.

Shula > JJ + Wannstedt + Saban + Cameron

I have been ill the last two days so I must have missed a weeks worth of news.

I can look at this in two ways . the trifecta is way overrated and are not what most fans think they are or this just goes to show that espn and the general media has a vendetta against the fins and wont stop the bashing until the front office and the fan base decides to grow a pair and rip these media clowns a new one.

actually I dont think the dolphins have made any good moves this year ,at least not yet. I am not too high on this front office but I will give them one more draft before I turn my thumbs down.

the media here has made some predictions.
pats 13-3 3rd playoffs
jets 12-4 2nd rd playoff
Bills 10 -6 no playoffs
Phins 4- 12 no talent at wr and no depth at def. tackle.

one of the host said he thought the dolphins heat and marlins should give up sports since these teams are not serious about winning.

two radio host thought the afc east would shape up like this.
Miami 10 -6 no playoffs
Pats 9-7 no playoffs
jets 7-9 turmoil continues
Bills 6- 10 T.O. shines but no cigar.

Dude what are you smoking? No good move? Come on. Those two radio hosts must be morons, according to them, no AFC East team is going to make the playoffs. Based on their predicted records the Phins would win the East again.
