I'm a fan who liked the Tannehill draft pick but would have let him sit. However, I concede that I was probably too conservative (and wrong). Ryan has generally played better than I expected and his confidence has not been shattered by throwing him in the deep end. I grossly underestimated his mental toughness to handle the situation.
Provided that we recruit and draft some good WRs so that he has a lot more weapons than we have seen this year, he should be able to take his game to the next level. I still think that we would have won more games this season with Matt Moore as QB. But Tannehill is our future and his learning experience through the tough games this year is more important for the long term than a couple of extra wins.
