"I'm going to have to watch this another 100 times just to believe it"

you think the ice changes when there is less time? understand he didnt make the puck jump over his stick. the grooves from the players skating on it all game did. Should he have shot it earlier? Definitely.

Bottomline: DUMB play by a MEGA bust in one of the WORST drafts ever.

looking over the draft there were SOME decent picks

ryan malone
sedin twins are OK i guess
adam hall
Ryan Miller in the 5th!
martin erat
zetterberg in the 7th!

Off the top of my head, isn't this the draft where Havlat and the Sedins are the only decent players taken in the 1st round?

Stefan was a bad 1st pick.. We should have picked a Sedin, but they wanted to play together and Van. had the chance to pull it off.. He was garbage from the start in Atlanta, quickly forgotten when Kovalchuk was signed..

Wow, that's gotta be one of the worst draft classes I have ever seen, it's ugly man.

VERY ugly.

Daniel and Henrik have come into their own. A lot of people have a very high opinion of Havlat, i'm not one of them. I think he is trash, he's the best player in the World when it is a three goal game, get him into a tight hockey game and he evaporates.

On topic: Ferraro did overreact a little but that is how he is, he speaks his mind. To be honest he's one of my favorite hockey commentators. Stefan did look like the fool though, I'm just surprised he was actually on the ice in a close hockey game at the end.

VERY ugly.
I counted six guys that wouldn't be labeled a bust, that's just amazing and what is more amazing is that their is not one true great player in that class, some good ones like the Sedin twins, Havlat and perhaps Connolly if he can ever stay healthy, Boyton is a pretty decent player as is Tanabe, but that's almost it.

In fact the best player in that draft might very well have been Henrik Zetterberg - taken in the 7th!

I don't care if the ice was shaped like a bowl, Stefan had a wide open net, a chance to end the game, and plenty of time to do it. Ferraro's right; an NHL player should be able to put that puck in the net with no excuses.
