Merged 2x: Prisco Story on Phins/Wanny

Spielman is looking dumber and dumber...


they made somewhat of a panic move and traded a second-round pick in next year's draft for Eagles third-team passer A.J. Feeley. That move sparked a series of "what" questions from league executives.

"Why didn't they wait?" said one NFC personnel man. "They could have landed a veteran. Instead they get a guy who was third behind Koy Detmer last year."
 
It's true.... I mean, was Feely going anywhere that fast? Why did we rush? Or why did Spielman rush I should say...

Seriously, you would rather beat up, can't throw any more Rich Gannon and Kurt Warner over a young potential-laden Feeley?

How are you so sure AJ won't tear it up?
 
even if miami waited and then picked up a vet, pretty much mostly all of the vet qb's are almost washed up and had horrible seasons last year.(ie:warner, kollins,gannon)
 
feely is young,healthy,and mobile and can throw the ball deep. unlike warner who is slow and fumbled 6 times in one game last year. and he was getting cuncussions left and right or a broken hand. or gannon who was fumbling alot aswell and was getting hurt. the only decent one left was collins and he was throwing picks left and right
 
You really have to be kidding me.

Do you think any of this stuff that has happened will directly affect our play on the field in a negative way?

Now, if we had players getting suspended or hurt for the season, I'd worry too. But you think we're going to stink because Marino quit or Ricky smoked a little pot???

And just to remind you, Collier didn't have any experience, just like Foerster. It would have been the SAME EXACT offense anyway.

All you people who think we are going to $uck because of all this offseason activity, don't come around here cheering and praising when we start 4-0.

We did that last year. We signed Griese when it was too late for him to truly learn the offense and make a serious attempt at winning the starting QB position. All the QB's that are available now will be signed as backups.

Spielman was smart. Getting Feeley in and giving him a chance to learn and compete from the beginning is a very good thing. He has been studying the system for 3 months and still has a long way to go. He should be up to speed by the preseason where the final decision at starting QB will be made.

That's why we didn't wait. We did that before and it didn't work. Feeley has a real chance at winning the starting role because he got here early.

It's a bit silly to be saying in May that undrafted rookies have the potential to start. Unless by potential you mean...if all the starters AND their back-ups get hit by a bus.

Guys, you have to remember that Prisco is a J-E-T-S, JETS JETS JETS Fan.

Once you view his opinions through that prism, he is easier to take. He is not impartial, by any means.

He also does not understand Defensive football. He is easily impressed with good Offensive teams. Those teams usually falter come playoff time. This fact, coupled with his love of the evil green team, make him bitter about the game that he covers.

oh now i remember... when your team sucks it is more fun to put down a team that actually wins. pri@@ko is a negative jets homer. while our offseason may have had a few bumps, i truely believe this years fins team has a legitimate shot at going deep in the playoffs. it is time!!
 
Yep and the bills were saying teh same thing last year. 6-10, yep much better than the fins. You hired teh squeelers offensive coord as your head coach, teh squeelers? Yeah their offense lit things up. Enjoy that worlds better coach. :roflmao:
