No boxing is not dead but do you think this fight did anything to entice the average sports fan to spend $55 on another PPV?

The promotion in this case was masterful and it will need to continue to be that way or boxing will be in trouble.

You throw Mayweather in there vs Margarito (a much better fight IMO) and I guarantee it will NOT do half of what this fight did and that's where the shame is.

there always seems to be someone saying boxing will die, but the fact is, there are a ton of true boxing fans out there. fans that enjoy good defense and good boxing.

Winky vs. Hopkins will be just that. some people might tune in and get bored, but with 2 very good defensive fighters, its going to be a great fight to boxing fans.
