My GUESS as of this moment is the Dolphins will let Jarvis Landry test free agency. If he can get $14M-$15M APY, he'll be gone. If market is more at $11M-$12M APY, they may bring him back. Market will dictate.

Last year Dolphins made no secret of wanting Kenny Stills back. Said it repeatedly. This year they have not said they want Jarvis Landry back. Not once. Fascinating.

Mike Tannenbaum says “we have more time to go before the deadline” for signing Jarvis Landry. “We’ll see where it goes.”

Tannenbaum said “we have a lot of respect” for Jarvis Landry. Would not comment on negotiations. Said there has been a lot of contact with his side.

I always thought the 12m number we heard in the Spring/Summer was going to be the max, don't see him getting 12 plus either. If anything his stock has dropped. There was posturing before season, more posturing, the baby momma, posturing and more posturing and here we set listening to more babble about 14-15 million. Somebody is in for rude awakening next month.

He gave his all, was under paid and helped my team win some games. For that I'll always view him in a positive light.

But

There are better options from other teams to give that money too. Trumaine Johnson, Ziggy Ansah and Sheldon Richardson would all be wiser investments based in large part because of the positions they play vs slot WR.

I think he's gone. The Dolphins don't seem to be pushing for him like Stills. He's going to get a huge contract from someone else. It's just a matter how much the Dolphins are willing to go if he agrees somewhere else.

yep i think he is gone. He is my favorite player so for me it is pretty heartbreaking

For sure they are not going to find an agreement. I think they transition tag him and see what the market offers him.

Probably niners, raiders, browns and bears will enter a bid war and throw lots of money towards him

Now that offense is a huge problem, has been a problem last year, now you got to replace 1k yards 9 touchdowns and a huge amount of throws towards him
Don't understand the FO's direction but that's it

Landry is history and we should stop giving him all this attention. He isn't going to be part of the 18 Dolphins.

Time to move on. Won't miss him at all for $15 million. Good luck to Landry and the team that signs him.

Another home grown talent about to flourish elsewhere. This should make you steaming mad not shrug and say so what don't over pay him. He's worth every penny, again homegrown talent is how you stay together and build a nucleus to win together. Count how many Dolphins are flourishing on other teams because they either left via free agency or trade etc..........

So every four years we should keep rookies while in their rookie contracts and when they are about ready to explode talent wise and are about to get paid, we should just let them go to another team? Is this the pattern we are establishing?
We keep them when they don't out price their value as a slot receiver. He can explode his talent elsewhere for that price.

And THIS is why you cannot get emotionally attached. 100% wrong. Sorry. You don’t overpay on a slot receiver. And where is this list of players flourishing? Matthews maybe?
