One of the best parts of this long unbeaten run has been watching Phil Jones start to turn his career around. He is playing well and getting a run of games without getting injured for the first time in many years. We nearly gave up and let him leave last summer.
When we signed him Fergie said Jones reminded him of Duncan Edwards (****ing high praise - he would have been an all time world great but he was killed in the Munich Air Crash) and openly told the Media that Jones could end up being the best player in United history.
Then this happened :idk:

Qualified for the league cup final. Doing fine in the FA cup with an easy game v Blackburn coming up and we thrashed Saint-Étienne last night so advancing to the next round of the Europa league is all but guaranteed after the first leg. Playing in all these smaller competitions is going to end up having an impact on our league form.

We aren't playing well ... but we are on a 22 game unbeaten run in the Premier League, won the league cup, should make the Europa League Semi final and just thumped the league leaders. :idk: but we still aren't close to good enough. Odd season
