Trestman upset over OC snub

The difference is, we have better tools then we did when Turner was here to run his system, and odds are, this guy will do a better job adapting. .

What facts do you have that the new OC will do a better job than an OC that has SB rings? Do you have one or is it just your opinion. Yeah, Boston is better than Moulds, the new OC is better than Turner :shakeno:

Determining the better player (as a coach) is easy. To me it's a mistake/opportunity ratio.

I think determining a coordinator's skill is much more difficult as you have to determine who does the most with the least.

:D

I agree. The thing is your new OC has never held his new position before and already he's going to do a better job than Turner according to Disgust? I bet Norv could've done a better job w/ a better Qb and OL.

I think some of our members have a difficult time digesting that this offense (talent wise) has sucked for years, including some Marino years.

As for speculating on the 2004 offense....Alot of changes so we will see.

I think changing the entire offense at this point would have been a disaster for the team. And with much of the staff fighting for their jobs, installing a new offense that by conventional wisdom takes 2 years to learn is not the way to go.

Besides, Trestman is great with QBs, and we need some work their with whichever QB is our starter.

Now, if you decide to blow up the staff and team and start over, THEN we can discuss the installation of the West Coast Offense, pro and con. But this season was not the year to do it.

They want Sullivan to make our WRs better and Trestman to make our QBs better so that when we do not call a handoff to Ricky, the opposing D might actually be worried.

There are quite a few good reasons for not promoting Trestman. We really needed a good QB coach. Last year we had no one working with QBs since Mike Shula left to coach Alabama. Trestman will be a solid QB coach for us and we really needed someone good to coach them. Secondly, Foerster is going to run the same offense that Collier was going to run, while Trestman would have probably wanted to run a West Coast Offense. Changing to a WCO would not have been a good idea in May.

Very true. You can have the greatest offense and playcalling in the world. But if the players can't execute, you get branded "a tool".

I can't think of ONE OC who would have done much with last year's personnel.

Well yea, Boston is better then Moulds....that's a given ;)

As for the new offensive Coordinator, we will see.....in 1980, nobody thought much of Buddy Ryan as a coordinator, in 1990 people wondered who Turner was? They did alright, and like them there are many. You are a nobody special at your position, until the moment you are given an opportunity, and succeed at it.

I just don't understand why you pass on a former OC for a no experience at all guy? Unless it's because Dave will be scripting the calls. Like run, run, pass, punt.

Chris gave Wanny his password to the 70's pornsites to go w/ his mustache.

So what is your opinion of your new OC?

Maybe turner should've used Feidler as a weapon and have him throw more instead of running RW  Turner did an outstanding job w/ what he had. The run should've opened up the pass but there wasn't one because Wanny insisted on keeping Fiedler as his qb and trying to buil;d the D w/ has beens like Seau and Knight.

It must really suck to be swept by has beens!!!!!! :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

How many points did your Bills' score against these has beens last year? :roflmao:
