uh oh slimm....

Saban nailed it when he commented on this saying the NCAA needs to go after the agents. If there's no discliplinary actions against these agents, what's to stop them from going after another kid.

If a guy is in your neighborhood selling drugs to the neighborhood kids and all we do is arrest the kids, we're not really solving anything are we?

Remember JC..Saban leaving the Dolphins caused a ripple effect in the time stream causing all agents to get all college kids in trouble
so they HAVE to go to the NFL early allowing Nick to get back in the NFL.
It's all Saban's fault.
LOL

As of right now ,all that is known is the Marcell Darius,DT ,and probably top 10 pick in the next draft, attended a party
with several other big time college players(there are more names from other schools to come).
How much contact and who paid for the trip down to south beach is what is in question.
It might be something or it might not...we'll have to see.

I don't even think these were "agents" yet.... and whoever they are need to be dragged out in the street and shot on the spot...

But the FIRST thing that needs to be done is instead naming all the kids that may have attended this "party"... they need to get the names of these scumbag agents out there for everyone to see so they can be ridiculed too.... then drag them out in the street and shoot them...

Bama and their compliance department reported this first.... that's how it got out there... they're doing their own investigation to find out exactly what happened... Apparently there's a bunch of kids (lets be real here... big time NFL prospects) from SEVERAL different schools that all attended this party on South Beach together... and Marcel Dareus is good friends with UNC defensive tackle Marvin Austin.... who may or may not have paid for Dareus' transportation, etc...

The NCAA only gets involved when it's deemed that a University is not in compliance, or is knowingly and willingly cheating... which isn't the case here... Saban and Dr. Witt want Dareus to spill his guts and nip this **** in the bud right now....

Dareus admits he was there, but is steadfast in his assertion that he paid for everything himself..... whatever the truth is, Dareus just needs to make damn sure he tells it... no matter what it is.. just tell the truth son...

I just can't understand why these kids do this either... Here you have a BUNCH of college NFL PROSPECTS from different schools all over the country going to a PARTY on SOUTH BEACH put on by a BUNCH of AGENTS.... HELLOOOO!!! Does it not cross your mind that there's probably something not right about it and you're putting your eligibility at risk... and worse off.. the well being of the University and the program you're playing for....

Saban and Alabama's compliance department pound it in these kids heads over, and over, and over and over again that they can't accept ANYTHING from ANY agents or sports authorities..... you just can't...

Like Namor pointed out, what they have to find out is exactly what benefits Dareus recieved (if any) and the amount of money they were worth.... If it's $500 or less, it can be construed as "incidental" and only restitution and a game or two suspension... If it's things of high value, it could cost Dareus his eligibility and he'll be off the team..... either way.. Bama isn't under any microscope... this supposedly happened this summer and Dareus hasn't played in any games uneligible...

Saban and the rest of the SEC coaches are going to be in rare form tomorrow when SEC media days commence..... and the NFL and Roger Goodell better lend an ear...

Now Georgia is being looked at. We'll have the whole damned conference under the magnifying glass before too long.

From what I'm hearing ,several ACC schools had players there, also.
What the freak kind of party was this? A 2011 pre-draft shindig?
VT will probaly be one of the next schools called.
This thing is BIG.

It's huge Namor.... more and more schools throughout the SEC and ACC are going to be getting contacted by the NCAA.... up next.. Georgia. Although A.J. Green says he never went to South Beach... and his teammate, WR Michael Moore, confirms this...

Looks like Patrick Peterson (LSU), Pernell McPhee (Miss. St.), Wesley Saunders (S. Carolina), Marvin Austin (N. Carolina), Marcel Dareus (Bama), and SEVERAL, SEVARAL more players from schools all throughout the SEC/ACC may have been there.... which it doesn't matter unless any of them received benefits of some sort from an agent type....

Basically, Tennessee may be the only school safe here... because most of their players couldn't leave the state without it being a parole violation anyway....

That's exactly what this was.... a big 2011 Pre-draft shindig... it was a setup by "runners" and agents who've all been backstabbing and dropping dimes on each other in order to get all the best players from the SEC in trouble... along with the programs... and it stems from the USC fallout.... What this amounts to is Lane Kiffin and some USC trustees conspiring to get the SEC caught up in a cesspool of violations....

The NCAA hated to finally have to nail their darling USC... and now they're on the war path to tar and feather every program throughout the southern region.... but the SEC programs and coaches have all bonded together in this... and they have the biggest gun out there on their side to lead them into battle.... SEC Commissioner Mike Slive...

It's time to finally hold the dirtbags (agents, etc) responsible for things like this accountable.. instead of punishing the schools, other students, and their families that have nothing to do with it....

When the SEC decides to completely shut NFL scouts outside campus doors and not let them in to practices and evaluate players..... that's when the NFL will finally do something to try to curtail this situation... and that's exactly what will happen once Saban and Urban Meyer decide to do it... everyone else will follow suit...

Remember, the SEC is a family... a brotherhood....

Yes apparently programs like Miami, Idaho, Tarleton St., etc. are all in the safe zone here...

In all seriousness, the wider the spectrum takes the investigation, the less likely penalties will be handed out to innocent programs... However, each school may be left to discipline the players accordingly (game or two suspension, etc.)..

But it will also force other entities like the NFL and the NFLPA to finally get involved and try to put a stop to this epidemic of "pimps", otherwise known as runners for agencies from contacting amateur athletes without being punished to the fullest extent of the law...

It's PAST time that coaches and athletic programs were let off the hook from being punished for the illegal activities of crooks....
