Who is your top 10 RB's?

I love taylor, I got to watch him all through college and in his record setting bowl performance as a senior. I just think Mcgahee and F. Taylor are better is all. Personally, I would prefer Chester over Willie Parker because I think he is more well rounded.

IMO If Fred Taylor doesnt have injury problems in his career we are talking about one of the best all time.

Again just my opinion.

No specific order but LT, AP, Steven Jackson, LJ, Westbrook, RB, Parker, Marion Barber, Rudi Johnson ( bad year), Addai, Frank Gore. Its a little more than 10 but thats what I think. Notice no Reggie C*nt.

I completely agree with that, dude has it all when he is healthy.

1. LT
2. Brian Westbrook
3. Larry Johnson
4. Ronnie Brown
5. Marion Barber
6. Willis McGahee
7. Adrian Peterson
8. Joseph Addai
9. Steven Jackson
10. Willie Parker

only on this board would Ronnie Brown be a top 5 back. He has alot of potential but is definately not among the top 5 backs based on anything he has done. Brown better than Peterson wow, we need some drug testing.

Only one person had Peterson above Brown(if he even listed them in order), and he was certainly performing like a top 5 back before he got hurt last year just as a point of reference.

He did that for 4 games against bad run defenses. I think Ronnie will be fine but he has done nothing to be ranked as a top five back in the league.
People put down Anderson because he only had one really good season and we still have not got that one really good season from Brown but we annoint him. I just think its hard for this board not to be really biased.

???

I wouldn't pit RB in top 5, he'd probably be like 8 for me if I really sat down.

I do agree, it i shard for this board not to be biased.

1. LT
2. Adrian Peterson
3. Willie Parker
4. Westbroke
5. Ronnie Brown
6. Clinton Portis
7. Stephen Jackson
8. Frank Gore
9. Magahee
10. Ryan Grant

32. Shaun Alexander- he sucks

Still dont see on any planet except Bizzaro planet where Steven Jackson, Larry johnson, Clinton Portis and Frank Gore are rated below Ronnie Brown.

  • LT: Simply put, the best RB in the game right now, probably one of the Top 5, all-time.
  • Brian Westbrook: Probably would have merited MVP debate in another season. Consistently underrated.
  • Joseph Addai: Some will argue that it's the system, but Addai has put up over 1400 total yards in each of his first 2 seasons. That's impressive.
  • MBIII: Hard to imagine what he could do if given the rock on a FT basis.
  • Ronnie Brown: Was a Top 5 back before the injury. Hopefully he can come back at the same level.
  • Adrian Peterson: The knock on him, much like Brown, is that he can't stay healthy. Has a chance to be special if he can keep his health.
  • Willie Parker: A model of consistency: 1200+ yards 3 consecutive seasons.
  • Frank Gore: Had a drop off after a monster 2006. I'd say this was more due to the 49ers carousel at QB.
  • Clinton Portis: Bounced back strong after an injury shortened 2006.
  • Ryan Grant: Closed the season as the hottest RB in the league. Went on a tear through the last half of the season, racking up nearly 1000 yards in 7 games.
  • Honorable Mention: Larry Johnson, Willis McGahee, Steven Jackson

It's a tough call because most of us don't really know how good a player is and how much comes down to the scheme he plays in and how featured he is in it. I'm sure if we were honest, most of us don't have a clue how good different runners are at blocking or even how reliable some of them are as receivers. I know I certainly don't but I'll ignorantly list a top ten, based as much on uneducated guesswork as anything, anyway:
  1. LaDanian Tomlinson
  2. Brian Westbrook
  3. Steven Jackson
  4. Fred Taylor
  5. Adrian Peterson
  6. Jamal Lewis (I thought he was absolutely great for the Browns)
  7. Clinton Portis
  8. Willie Parker
  9. Frank Gore
  10. Joseph Addai

1) Adrian Peterson(He can take it to the house any day).
2) Ladanian Tomlinson( Consistent and Dangerous weapon)
3)Steve Jackson
4)LArry Johnson(this guys is a beast i am hoping he falls in next years fantasy draft.
5)Ronnie Brown(a big Physical pass-catching RB and he can block.
6) Clinton Portis
7)Joseph Addai
8)Willis Mcgahee
9) willie parker
10) Frank Gore

honorable Mention:Dangelo Williams(I am hoping to snatch him up next year to pair with one of my top 10 backs), Jones-Drew, Fred Taylor.

He led the league in yardage, the offensive line was mediocre at best, teams focused on him and still couldn't stop him, but yet it was a fluke. Surely there's no way Ronnie Brown is a top five back. OK.

taking into consideration age and potential...

1. LT
2. Adrian "all day" Peterson
3. Joseph Addai
4. Steven Jackson
5. Larry Johnson
6. Willie Parker
7. Ronnie Brown
8. Brian Westbrook
9. Marion Barber
10. Frank Gore
