Yup, so did Ronnie Brown. Either way, the 48th round?? Is it necessary to have that many rounds? I dont see it necessary past like 10-15 rounds.

most teams only sign 30 of the 50 players, so the other 20 are usually guys they know they cant sign for whatever reason, but take a stab anyway.

its probably not necessary, but dont forget there are several low minor teams designated just for these players to fill out.

Yeah you are right but the pro level carrer in MLB is way longer than NFL..in the NFL you cant spend 4-5 years developing a player to play for maybe a couple more years...whereas MLB they can play 15+ years easily
