San Diego lost all leverage when they didn't franchise or transition tag Brees. Now they have to pay what Brees wants, or he's a free agent. Which will be a huge mistake on their part. The team's around 20 million under the cap and is letting a pro bowl QB go without any compensation and starting Rivers. With Feeley as backup if Rivers struggles.
 
McNair to Miami is all smoke&mirrors to get Brees in a Dolphin Uniform for a reasonable price!!
 
Ive been fairly nuetral on NcNair.... siding more with not having him... but there are several good points brought up here by many posters... where if we dont get Brees... NcNair... maybe the better option to groom a draft pick.
 
Miami does not need a washed up McNair. Brees and/or a rookie

Without the new CBA deal(damn you), I don't know if we can give a huge contract out to anybody. That means that we will prob have to go after another QB and McNair might be the only option worth taking. I'm not a big fan of him, but we will have to have a young QB that he can groom to start for us in 1-2 years.
 
i dont know i think im all for anyone who can take us to the next level..I really want this season really bad..i mean..its in our city this year.

the chances of that happening are long gone. Time to forget Cutler and move on to reality...

As for McNair, it would really all depend on his asking price. Lower, the more I would be ok with him. Higher, less so. Honestly I just don't want anymore retread QB's.

ill say McNair had 3 good years....and they were not recent...nor are they coming up....NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO to McNair
 
McNair would be a FANTASTIC addition to this Miami offense.

McNair has shown the ability to carry an offense/team to victory at a very high level of play. Drew Brees has not shown that.

McNair, Lemon and a rookie would be very nice.
