I wish him well also. I have always wondered what he could have been if he had not had a revolving door of HCs, OCs, and no OL. I think he may have led the league in sacks his first year or two.
Maybe new coaches will improve his reading and allow him to throw before he is sacked. Anyway, good luck.

Not really. We can trade or cut a player now and designate that player as a post June 1 trade or cut. I think every team can designate two players like that.
From a dead point money there is no difference. You still pay the full amount just distributed over two season.
Now we are clear for next year.

Imo he’s a backup, so it’s a good spot for him..Good backup now.

He won’t take Mariotas job, not close.
 
You keep adding picks and money to 2020...

Smart thing would be to address that o-line this year, with a potential trade back for an additional 2nd

Nest year...with Fales starting, yeah you are looking at 3 wins or less.

You get a top 2 pick, you also have a top pick in each of the rounds...load that up to move back into the first and still have picks to fill out the roster.

Be patient as this young teams gels.
