Really Hope No Qb At #13

You build both lines to build a team. Our defensive line depending on how we draft/sign will probably be one of the worst in the league. Our offensive line bas been gabage for what seems like my entire life.

Trade back 100% get multiple first round picks and more draft capital for 2020. TANK. Draft qb 2020. We have been bad for so long I will actually enjoy/embrace a tank job. It at least gives me hope that we are putting ourselves in position to draft. More likely if we tank right any qb we want in the draft without having to trade up.

I'd run up the card for Haskins. On the fence with Lock.

Keep in mind, Miami as of right now, may have the worst quarterback situation in football. I know the strength of the draft is defensive line and the team could wait until 2020. I'm fine with that unless the organization feels a quarterback from 2019 can become a top 10 NFL quarterback. In my view, Haskins can be that.

Quarterback has to be the biggest priority, followed by so many other needs.

I think Lock is going to be a great one...I see unique skills and playmaking ability... he suffered thru three three different coordinator changes and scheme changes in college... but finally got in a more pro style offense last year.... and if you looked at how he closed the last 5 games of 2018 he really got comfortable and played at a very high level.... completeing 67% 12 TD/2 INT... beating Florida(final rank 8th in the nation)....Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Arkansas...4 straight SEC wins....and played well in a bowl loss to Oklahoma St. throwing 3 TD’s and no int’s.

Will never understand that logic...but if that’s what happens it better work... you starting throwing away years avoiding drafting QB’s and two decades go by before you know it. (See the 2000-2018 Miami Dolphins)

No asinine in the same sense as taking Ronnie Brown at #2 when Gus Frerotte is your QB and Aaron Rodgers is sitting there waiting. The point is you simply can't afford to miss out on someone who can be a great at that position, I believe Murray, Lock and Haskins all have that "chance".
Rogers was a big miss - You are convinced that these QBs are that awesome I highly doubt they are more than average - Kyler is better in my opinion but each has huge risks

NFL.com's eight mock drafts have Haskins going 9, 10, 11, 11, 11, 13, 13, 13, and 17 (and at 17 they had Miami trading back to 17 and taking him). So basically there mocks tend to say that Haskins might be there at 13 and if he is, Miami will most likely take him.

IMO....if Haskins is there at 13, you take him.
So highly over-rated so entirely carried by skill players

You could also draft a QB in 2019 build both lines with the remaining picks of 2019 and maybe even some picks in 2020. Then if you feel like it you can sit the rookie for a year.

He did play very well down the stretch. I think Lock does have everything you want in a quarterback. He still has issues with his footwork, but a good coach should be able to help him there. It's those inconsistent throws that give me pause. Kind of the same as Josh Allen and seeing where he ended up going, I think Lock should be drafted close to top 10.

I'm sorry to bring this up and mean no offense but I read a take like that with all the caveats and specific sample time-frames and have Tannehill flashbacks.

Not the same thing at all... Tannehill only started for a little over a year, Lock played 4...threw 44 touchdowns in his junior year... he did have constant change in coaching and scheme, and it’s fact he didn’t have the same quality of talent around him that Haskins, Tua and probably Murray had around them.

If your waiting for a QB that never develops while in college and improves...You might be waiting a lifetime.

yep its a talking point thrown around on FH. Just don't worry about QB "build both lines" lol. Like its easy to just have 5 all pros up front. Why not secure the most important position?

However, in this draft im all for Oline, and defensive playmakers

I cant see Lock (Denver), Murray (Zona) or Haskins (Giants) being available.

In a perfect world, I would like Haskins to be there at 13, the giants trade up from 17 for our 13th, and we pick up an extra 2nd this year, or this years third and next years 2nd or 3rd from the giants.

Don’t bet on it!
