2008 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Thread

The Angels are the front-runners to host the 2010 All-Star game and are expected to be awarded the event after a number of contractual and logistical issues are worked out with the city of Anaheim and Major League Baseball. "We're working to get it, but the deal has not been finalized," said Lorri Galloway, Anaheim city councilwoman. "We're a world-class entertainment and sports city. It makes sense that we would host the All-Star game." Kansas City and Tampa Bay also bid for the 2010 game. The Angels last had the game in 1989. The game has not been played in Southern California since 1992, in San Diego, and the Dodgers last had the game in 1980.

OMG! The flippin' injuries just keep-a-comin'! Shields a probable no-go now and even worse, GMJ out for a while. He was having a huge spring too. Dang, can't catch a break! This line-up, if ever completely healthy at the same time, is gonna be lethal. Maybe need to add some more depth before it's too late.

Let's go HALOS!!! You look sleeeeeepy so far. And Nap? What kinda throws are those? Shake it off. Bases juiced, nobody out, down by two. Get it DONE!!!!

Now this is more like it. Great effort by Garland. Solid defense and the power bats clicking. Nice, very nice!

Nice way to start the season with a 3 games to 1 series against a very good Twins team. Pitching looked pretty doggone good too! Now let's come home and take it to the Rangers! Welcome home Big Red!!!
