2009-2010 Miami Heat Thread: Race to the Finish

They said that Chalmers had a strained shoulder......I'm guessing that means his shoulder hurts and they're pretty sure nothing was broken or torn.

If O'Neal makes it 70 games I'd be thrilled. The little nicks and bruises probably feel a little worse at 31 than they did at 21. The Heat do need him if they're going to be a half way decent team. Beasley isn't reliable enough to be the second option, and it doesn't look like Cook has found his legs yet.

No easy game tonight. Thunder have spanked the Magic, beat the Spurs and pushed the Lakers so far this season. They are 5-5.

Wade can't hit a jumper.....it happens to the best. On the bright side Beasley is playing well, Chalmers didn't get torched by Bibby again, and Cook looks healthy.

The Hawks are a good team when Josh Smith shows up to play.

hawks are one of those young up and coming teams they are probably one player away

Heat had a lot more to do with the loss than the Hawks did. They've lost the edge they started the season with. Playing seflish 1 on 5 bball, including Wade, the one player we should count on not to do that, poor lazy rotations on D, which is why we're gettin 3 balled to death again.

This picture sums up last nights efforts.

"We just have to be a little sharper," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said, after his team fell for the third time in its last four games. "We need to get back to our identity, which is defense."

Doesn't make the Hawks any less annoying, though. Saint Wade is playing like **** and taking waaaay too many jumpers/3's. Anyone else think he's doing it to try and stay healthy in a contract year?

Wade started the jumpers/threes last year and I do think it had everything to do with injuries. It was the same with Jordan, Kobe, Iverson.....even Lebron will start after he suffers his first real setback. He might not be as efficient a scorer, but the Heat will live with the jumper taking Wade if it means he stays on the court for 70+ games and is healthy for the playoffs.

I don't think it's a problem that he's taking more jumpers as much as it is they're just really bad low percentage shots. He's basically chucking, especially last game.

Spoelstra needs to get hot at this team. Two lackluster performances in a row is unacceptable. This team started out with a top defense so we know they're capable. No excuses for them. Just lack of effort.

i say we bring in iverson for some fire power off the bench
