2009-2010 Miami Heat Thread: Race to the Finish

Hey Dorell Wright, what's up?

NM, just going out and getting myself wasted after beating the Clippers, then getting busted for a DUI.

Miami Heat+Alcohol=Disaster

Heat playing inspired ball so far. Looks like Qrich is gonna have another one of his big games...

Heat won tonight.

Good win.

And the bulls look like they're falling apart. They lost 7 in a row, they're already without like 3 players including D.Rose and Hinrich probably just got himself suspended for at least a game tonight getting into the official's face.

I think they volunteered to take that 9th seed from us, and everyone else is far enough behind, outside of a monumental collapse we'll see the post season.

Now its the chase for the 5 or 6 seed....whichever gets you the Hawks. I don't think the Heat stand much of a chance against anyone else.

Dwyane Wade scored 38 points and his supporting cast came through during a decisive stretch in the fourth quarter Sunday, helping the Miami Heat beat the Philadelphia 76ers 104-91.

With Wade resting on the bench and center Jermaine O'Neal out after being ejected, the Heat went on a 14-3 run to start the final period. James Jones sank a pair of 3-pointers during the spurt, and Jamaal Magloire's running dunk punctuated it to give Miami a 16-point lead.

The Heat won their third consecutive game to start a six-game homestand. They've won six in a row at home, their longest such streak in three seasons.

James Jones made some incredible shots today. Mario Chalmers looked real good today. Nice to see the "other" guys picking it up. We're going to need them if we're going to have any chance come playoff time.

bout time, I've been wonderin' what the heck happened to JJ. Seemed like he had DQ syndrome.

Anyways, how bout some love for Arroyo, he's stepped up and is running the point quite well.

Hasbrouck called up from d-league.....

"Like a lot of teams that have a spot, you're weighing whether bringing somebody in can actually help, whether it might be a development player [or] somebody you can secure for the summer," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said earlier this month. "And you're also weighing whether that person can disrupt the continuity based on their expectations."

Hasbrouck averaged 14.9 points in 129 games at Siena, helping the Saints of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference win first-round NCAA tournament games in 2008 and 2009. The Saints won the MAAC title again this year.

Hasbrouck expected to fly to Miami

With two roster spots available to fill, the Miami Heat are on the cusp of signing former Siena shooting guard Kenny Hasbrouck, a deal that could be done as early as Monday.

Barring an unforeseen development, Hasbrouck is expected to fly to Miami on Monday. If he passes a physical, he'll be offered a contract.

valiant effort - watching the 4th quarter was pretty exciting - OT... not so much

Orlando's a team I wouldn't mind being matched up against in the playoffs. Seems like we always play hard against them.
