Always difficult to tell competency with New England, as Belicheat runs everything, but outside of the first round there ain't a lot to like about their last few drafts.

I would love a Coughlin/Campbell pairing where Dan is a coach in waiting. It's a pipe-dream because the situation is totally untenable, though.

how? he acquired finesse type of coaches which didn't fit his style.

all of our players played better with Campbell with a exception of maybe Grimes

He doesnt have a grind it out roster and his vision for what he does have is trying to fit a square peg in a round hole

This teams offensive tackle choices going forward with albert and james make it awfully hard to play it ground and pound not counting the true in house deficiencies up front

After years of staying home I'll credit them for going outside the organization. Like it or not the Pats represent the most succesful franchise over the last 15 years making it a good risk.

For those who asked about a Quinn-Josh McDaniels connection. The Lions can interview him thru Sunday, then must wait til NE out of playoffs

Some Dolphins coaching news: There is growing momentum in the building for Adam Gase to become the next coach of the Miami Dolphins.

They really need to finish the scheduled interviews before moving to the next round. Hue is up Sunday.

F*ck it, can't get gif to embed, but I hope reports of Gase's chances to be the next HC are greatly exaggerated.

Interesting. We could do worse. Football mind wise all signs point to him being in the top tier. I'd still prefer Shanny or Hue. But he's moved ahead of Marrone. I wish we'd look at McDermott if we went first time HC, because I have him in a tier above Austin and Gase. Good hire with risks. Well spoken guy in his interviews, don't see a life long coordinator like some. The writing has seemed to have been on the wall all week, assuming he didn't go to Philly it seemed like he has been our first choice throughout the process.

This is why I can't stand Beasley, everything he says is like a constant way for him to seem like he knows whats going on without really saying he does.

"growing momentum in the building", WTF does that mean? He asked a janitor who he thought gets the job and he said "Gase".

Beasley is the kind of beat writer who takes an email that 35 other writers got, and posts the info on twitter and calls it "sources".

Not saying NY doesn't have bad beat writers, but this kind of terrible journalism doesn't exist here in sports. No clue why its acceptable in Florida...

I hope Hue Jackson gets a true shot. What a weekend for him. I am sure he will interview poorly. Again, if the Bengals lose, I would roll the dice and cancel and set an interview up for Monday afternoon so he can prep and get his sea legs.

Given that he will be interviewing for 3 teams for a total of 12 hours, I just hope the Dolphins have the first interview.
