(Cont.) Their Message: Don’t assume every coach is “hot” or “big” for each team they’re interviewing with now.

This is what I was talking About earlier, Tannenbaum Is doing some if these interviews purely out of respect for the agents. He's building relationships and good will with these agencies.

Thats why we have so many more interviews lined up than anyone else. A lot of agents are going to make some $ from this, and they won't forget it when he asks for something. Nothing happens in the professional sports world without the agents, remember that.

This is why Tannenbaum was brought here, he knows what hes doing despite all the clowns here who hate on him for no reason.

Right? How self-entitled must they be to not want to be screamed at and treated like children? They should be men and take that kind of immature behavior on the chin like everyone else in the world who never quits a job because they can't stand their boss. The nerve of these men to want to be treated with basic human respect. Unbelievable.

Yeah nice pc try to constitute the complaints from a bunch of underachieving brown players complaints to have a pretty desirable coach. But hell maybe they'll go with a nice guy like Philbin since it worked so good do us. Do your job and don't act like a ****ing idiot and maybe you'll be treated respectfully. But I guess you think respect is deserved not earned.

Who is breaking his door down to coach again?

Who knows? We don't hear everything. I feel he is at the stage where he dictates what team he wants to deal with.

Same way w/ Coughlin, we don't hear interests but you know every team has tried to contact him.

You are so far off base that it's absurd.

Joe Thomas is a guy who has not missed a snap in 9 years of playing in the NFL, is a 9x Prow-Bowler, possibly the best OL of a generation, by all accounts is as down to earth as anyone you'll meet, and until about 3 days ago has never complained about being stuck on the biggest cluster**** of an organization in sports.

You clearly don't understand what playing, without missing a snap, in the NFL entails from a commitment and physical standpoint. No one should blame a guy for wanting to change his situation after a decade of putting in outrageous amounts of work, sacrificing your physical health, and being the best in the world at what you do, while having nothing to show for it.

None of these guys came out and said anything publicly, a reporter is echoing sentiments from players, who are not on record.

So not being on record how do we no Thomas is against Marrone. Maybe his problems with Cleveland more. I don't give a **** what Joes so called sacrifices are. Truth he's aggravated with the franchises direction Marrone would be the least of a guy like his problem. With his work ethic he'd be the coaches go to player

This is not like it his first coaching cycle. He has been out of the game for a few years and has never been close to a job since Washington. Time to face the facts that he may very well be done coaching.

Shanahan is quickly becoming one of the most overrated coaches around here.

Ah, so no we are souring on Shanahan because of Josina Anderson's statement, that may or may not be Dolphins related. Two years is not that long to be out. But no surprise coming from you Hayden, considering you are probably the only person on the planet Earth that has Tannebaum rated so high, other than Ross.

I disagree Hayden. He is not done.

Him and Coughlin are the only proven candidates out there, overrated? If anything, every young coordinators out there are overrated unknowns at best.... Odds of even one of them keeping a job past 3 years are bleak...

Perhaps so, he's certainly my favorite.

Again, we need a deeply experienced HC

True...maybe Anderson is not talking about Shanahan.

However, there is no question that he has become completely overrated around here. I think he is a very solid coach, but the pedestal that people are putting him on is crazy.

Think how many openings the league has had since he has left football. Think how few jobs he has even interviewed for let alone be a finalist for...

Maybe he catches on in SF. However, I do not think it will be here.

Fair enough. I would not kill the hire, but in the end it is about getting the right guy.

Experience is important. However, I can list others that have experience that could fit the bill too.

Plus, just to dismiss Gase and Austin because they have never done it before is a mistake.

Yup! Bottom line is its a crap shot with the best candidates although you can most often spot the disasters as you did with Philbin...
