40 points...WHY?!

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we won. That said, how many Dolfans realize the last time we cracked 40 points was 2003, 11 ****ing years ago?! We had two free chances at a FG, once from the red zone at 4th and 3, and we don't kick the FG, are you ****ing kidding me?! I don't care about good sportsmanship, Philbin's job is on the line and this would've sent a message to the fans, to Ross, to the media, and most of all to our opponents. I am disgusted at our lack of killer instinct. Today should've marked our highest scoring game in over a decade, but instead its just another W.
 
People will complain about anything
 
Seems like even the crappiest of crappy teams have been able to score 40 at one point or another. Not the Dolphins, though.

Lolz. He went for the first down to end the game. He tried to kill the game on that one play. How is that not killer instinct?

It would have been nice to score 40, and he definitely tried earlier, but Jesus H Christ, you're gonna freak out over a stupid imaginary barrier?
 
For me, this game wasn't about the points. It's how well we played. For the most part, we did very well in all phases. I am very pleased with how Tannehill played, today. Naturally, we need to improve in some areas, but I'll save my nit picking for another day. :-)
 
This forum blows my mind sometimes, you guys would rather argue 24/7 about the merits of Tannehill but don't feel any lack of pride whatsoever that we could've had our highest scoring game in over a decade and we just let it go? We always find ourselves kicking in 4th and 1 scenarios when we need a TD, but when we have a free FG staring us in the face we don't take it?

I don't think you know what 'killer instinct' actually is.
