8/15 Wednesday Morning Practice Tweets

I don't think that's fair. There were legitimate reasons to like Garrard as our starter. We haven't seen him execute the offense in a game setting. Is he going overboard? Well, I thought you were going to suggest an affair between the two. But even if he's being balls-to-the-wall biased toward Garrard, what makes us take the leap toward it being a racial issue? Omar's dreads? I've said some really nasty things about Omar, but I think these suggestions that he's racist are unwarranted and outlandish. Did we call the white reporters who favored Henne over Pat White racist?

Right as far as that goes, if this was an isolated case which it's not. I have long been convinced that Omar sees things in black and white where there's a choice but have only gotten sufficiently fed up lately to actually do more than subtly infer it.

Totally agree. Personally, I voted for Obama, but now Im not so sure I did the right thing. However, considering his opponent this time, It looks as though I will be voting for him again.

whatever we had here...consider it over

Then you shouldnt make such an accusation. Kinda ****ed up really. You dont even know me.

If youre trying to show the other posters train of thought was on the wrong track and just juvenile as you say, then just do that. There was no reason to bring me into it.

Basically, you want to call that posters action juvenile because he suggested Omar favors Garrard just because Garrard is black by calling me a racist. Thats ****ed up and totally hypocritical. I call total BS btw. I think you just wanted to call me racist and now youre making an excuse for your action.

Oh no WV, let's be clear I'm not a chat/thread warrior (my voaction doesn't allow for that) if I wanted to call you that I would just say it with little regard for you feelings; however, you are correct I don't know and you now sound offended. So if you....please accept my sincere apology. Now can we please get back to football there a other threads for this conversation.

Here's a question for you WV? Do you think we are going to be able sneak Hogan on to the P.S. Personally I think he might get poached.......with the nick names and added attention.

Its because people need to throw away their reserved feelings of identifying with people cause of race. Like to say oh blacks like serena williams cause shes black...How can you discredit the fact that shes good?

I like Usain bolt because hes the fastest thing on earth, not because im black and jamaican. What a coincedence though :)

clearly WV is no racist, Beck and Henne are two of the whitest guys you will ever see.

Some nice notes in there. I like that Messam is swallowing his pride and working with Reggie after practice to try and get better. He must sense he's losing his roster battle.

NFL Fodder is CFL gold - Toronto Argonauts (CFL) just openned the door for him by releasing the top Rusher in the CFL - now watch it unfold...

our defense is missing most of its best players.

our secondary, other than reshard jones and and marshall are puke right now.

NONE of our qb's deserve ANY real praise untill they do soemthing against a good defense.

the let ddown in the bucs game was telling. it was telling allof us that our qb's are getting over on 2nd and 3rd stringers and not ready to take on the real deal defenses of the nfl.

i dont give a rats rear end if its moore or tannehill or devlin or joe c. shmoe under center opening day. the name or draft position means nothing to me at all. i want the guy who TRUELY IS a legit starter as our qb, i guy who is the real deal. if none of them are it, i want the staff to keep looking and not ride their mistakes into nfl oblivion. david gerrard has NEVER been anything special. he had a pro bowl laced team in j-ville and couldnt get play off wins or to the show. injury and lack of superbowl skills ran him out of j-ville. if he couldnt take the jags to the playoffs consistantly or the superbowl, he isnt going to be at this age with a young, talent void team. if gerrard is the strter opening day, we will be looking at a top 3 pic in the draft in 13.

game 3 will be a good test. it always is as its the dress rehearsal for the regular season. when is see RT hang a couple td's and 100%+ qb rating on a legit, all starters present defense, i will start to believe and start to legitimize him as a possible starter.

I agree. Because of his huge size, I was expecting more from Messam. I don't think he's going to make it.

Did we call the white reporters who favored Henne over Pat White racist?

which reporters we talking about?

you didnt specify.

its omars OVER THE TOP bias in the social issues HE brings out in his writings that show a track record of racial bias. not just one thing.

if you add up the number of td's in camp, moore was on top. every day i read the same reports as everyone else but omar treats them like moore never completed a pass or td and gerrard was throwing 4 td's every practice. if a person looks at it WITHOUT bias, it really appeared the only thing gerrard really seemed a bit better at was his short crossing routes. many practices moore was against the 1st team defense and gerrard 2nd or third and everyone was giggly over gerrards performance.

moore had MANY days and practices where he was better but no mention, expecially from omar. yes, the coach named him starter, but, it wasnt by a landslide. the reports dont warrent it. and i think they did it to see more of gerrard to see if he still had it agaisnt quality opponents. they have seen moore and how he fits in the team. they know he still has not hit his ceiling, he has some growth potential unlike gerrard who is tapped.

and many other things like the music omar listens to and quotes, lots of things make him appear racially biased.

now, is he a racist? that is the most over used and most misunderstood word there is right now. we all have a bias of some sort to our own kind. we ALL have prejudices. but those things dont make a racist. a RACIST is a person who believes their race is SUPERIOR to all others and there existance is sub standard and far below their own. other races are not equal and were not created equal.

just because a person says a gangsta rapper is a moron or a person says white republican is a racist, DOESNT make them racist. its a prejudice. sometimes those prejudices are right, sometimes not. but MOST on oposite racial sides believe we are all humans with the same equal rights to survive and be happy. we ARE all equals, no race is greater than another. but, we dont all act the same.

is that omar. i dont know. i doubt it. i havnt seen anything that i would peg him as a racist, a TRUE racist. but he is biased, big time. he would never take the white side on ANY issue or a white persons side over a blacks ANYTIME for fear of the back lash from the homies. its why he wears his dreads and is hip-hop only.

thinking david gerrard is "funky fresh" going against an injured defense learning a new scheme, competing against a glorified rookie [moore] and a true rookie [tannehill] is not a well thought out, fact based opinion. its him wanting the brutha to get the gig.

i would respect him more if he just said it. and it wouldnt make him a racist, just biased, like MOST are. not always racialy, but biased all the same.

and his worship of gerrard is not based on fact or career performance. it IS a bias.

Ya, excellent post by NRA.

I've gotten so tired of the slanted reporting by all the beat writers to be honest with you. Their job is to sizzle what sells and right now that name is Tannehill. They have never been and will never be considered talent evaluators. For some reason though, Omar tried to run with the Pennington v.2 headline and has not given it up. Every time I would read his tweets, I couldn't quite figure out why he's on Garrard's man sack so hard given some of the things NRA pointed out about Moore.

So if Omar was so wrong about Garrard, why did Philbin name him the starter? Or did Omar, put a gun to Philbins head and to the head of every other beat writer including, Peter King who stated that he thought Garrad looked better than even Peyton Manning from the camps he visited.

That was probably my fav note on there. That and Vontae doing the same.

The extra work will do them both some good.
