Considering that of the three offensive weapons Ireland acquired in the off season for RT, only Wallace is playing and unfortunately, it is taking time for the chemistry to develop. It's not a coincidence that his red zone efficiency has decreased since losing Gibson. Still, with the lack of a seam threat, a beat up OL, RBs who can't find holes when they are created and having an OC that is ineffective in setting him up for success, RT battles through it and plays better than what most 2nd year QBs would in the same circumstances.
No doubt he is improving and has a tremendous amount of potential but he still needs to mature as a leader and playmaker. He certainly has flashed many, many traits that only very good QBs possess. Some of the throws he makes are absolutely jaw dropping and far outweigh the near misses he is experiencing. think those of you who say he sucks don't understand the process of developing a QB over the long haul.
Like him or not, he is your starting QB through at least the 2014 season and he should be. He has done nothing to consider moving in a different direction.
