well you are entitled to your opinion. i think it is pretty tough to call losing a super bowl a failed season. i wouldn't even call making it to the AFC/NFC championship game and losing, a failed season. not sure either how you are able to guarantee what SF fans think as well. if the 49ers are a failure, i wish the dolphins could fail like they have!

yes if Miami made the afc title game next year it would be considered successful. If you were a contender for 5 years and made the Super Bowl twice and lost both times it would be a failure because there would be different expectations/standards. The 49ers failed bottom line
