IMO what we have at QB now is adequate. We are still in a transition and most likely will not win a spot into the playoffs even if we are better then .500. Why waste resources on someone else when we can draft one next year and work them in for less?

Based on what???....

Just because he was a #1 pick, doesn't make him better. Some QB's have it, some don't. Thus far, Couch hasn't proven he's any better than what we already have....

Based on the fact that he has been a starting QB in the NFL and has put up some decent numbers. I think in 2001 and 2002 he had around 3,000 yds. And that was with a worse OLine than ours.

I am comfortable with Frerotte. I like sage and I am getting a feel for Berlin. I wouldnt mind seeing couch. And I think 99% of us think we should trade Feeley

I guess I'm a one in a hundred kind of guy then.
If anyone goes to make room for couch it should be either Sage or Berlin. Since Sage has been around for a while and still cant get out of 3rd place and Berlin,for all his troubles, COULD improve, I would say that the one leaving should be Sage. However, at this late stage I dont think there would be any way that Couch could be ready to play, so we would have to put him on the practice squad...which would leave him exposed to any other team that wanted to add him to their active roster as the 3rd string QB.
