AFC EAST Offseason Grades by Scouts Inc.- Phins get the Worst Grade - " C- "

We were #23 is passing last year. You dont think its possible we could surpass that in 2013 without Marshall?

with the new offense and the sheer amount of attempts since we will speed up the process i'm sure we can surpass those #'s...but you're still taking 80 plus catches and 1200 plus yards off the table and not replacing it...so we'll see...

i know this...ocho is not sniffing it

It doesn't all have to come from 1 guy. You don't think Ocho, Bess, Hartline, Clay, Fasano, and Bush can make up 1200 yards?

can make it up??? no...none of those guys are the level b marsh is...clay may surprise though...i can go that far...but make up the 1200 yards we'll be missing...it's gonna have to come from someplace else...

i don't think you guys understand how much pressure b marsh took off guys and that's not gonna be the case anymore...we better hope for some sick play calling and formations cause there's not a go to guy of the known quantities at least in the lot...who scares the opposition as a wr??? i mean like has the dc concerned...no one...

add in average qb play which is what you will get with moore or garrard and i don't know if this o will pass for 200 yards a game...we'll see...i can see a lot of 3 and outs in our future with these option routes and guys not being on the same page...

we pretty much have less than 6 tds as a wr core for the careers of guys returning...slight exaggeration but no one is a guy that scores tds consistently

Marshall had just 1 more TD than Bess did in his 2 years here and the same as Fasano.

None of the receivers are on the talent level as Marshall but they don't need to be. If you have 7 guys you only need about 170 more yards per guy for the whole season. I would be willing to bet that all of the guys I mentioned have more receiving yards than they did last year. Add in one of the other dark horse receivers and I am pretty sure they make up that 1200 yards.

the bottom line is marshall was the only guy that scared the defense...bess didn't and doesn't now...hartline with his what 1 td catch per year average doesn't...ocho i don't want to get into cause i've beaten that dead horse...someone needs to step up...and those guys you've named aren't gonna get it done...be what marshall was to this offense

but you keep believing whatever you want to believe...to each his own

BM was 7th in targets and ended up 37th in TDs, he won't be missed like some think. Split up his targets between Bess, Hartline and CJ(about 50 each) and I bet it will add up to more than 6 scores.
And the myth of the Brandon Marshall double-team has been debunked here before

And you keep on believing what you want to believe. It didn't help you too much when you thought that the Heat would get creamed by whoever came out of the West or the numerous other crazy things that you believe, but to each his own.

I'll see you at the end of the season when all of those guys have more receiving yards than they did last year that equal 1200 or more collectively.

Fasano had one less TD on 100 less targets last year

If there was a Thanks button I would have used it. Not only do I think they will make up the TDs, I think they will also make up the yards. 1200 split between all of those receivers is very realistic.

I was comparing Fasano's TD #s to Marshall's in the 2 years. He has the same as Marshall. Good stat on last year. I think with this new offense his production will increase a good bit.

Also, the new offense will be passing the ball more in general so it will end up being more than 150 passes to split

I'll tell you why they can give this grade, because it isn't all about whether we got better...we did...just by replacing Sparano. However, we didn't get better than the other teams in our division did. Buffalo got MUCH better on defense (at least on paper...maybe they will turn out to be this year's Eagles of last year...but I don't think so.) The Pat's are clearly pissed about last years SB loss and go all out to make another run this year. The Jets...well...the didn't do much either. They could actually be helped by Tebow, not by his play, but by his presence...it could also backfire if the Jets are the bunch of sewer-scum we think they are and it could be a massive implosion. (Let's hope Scenario B plays out there....)

I do not know why Marshall is still talked about. The biggest reason Phiblin wanted to trade him was because Marshall is not a WCO WR. He does not run good routes, or the routes that he is supposed to run and he does not have good hands. (he said this by the way)

I do not think that anyone misses Marshall. What if the team wanted him gone.
