Agents Banned

What purpose would it be for agents to be there? They're not coaches and cannot help prepare their players for the game. They can only distract. I like this idea and wonder why it wasn't implemented long before now.

Agreed. They can sit in the bleachers with everyone else. There HAD to be a reason for this move; that is, something happened that was a problem and the new rule is remedial.

What does him not agreeing have to do with him pulling for another team. There are plenty of things I haven't agreed with over the years, doesn't mean I am not a fan and don't want the team to succeed as much as anybody else does.

Because this rule doesn't affect any of us. Agents serve no purpose being there to begin with. To get mad over something like this is stupid.

But what if there is a drowning boy in the Player's Parking lot? Those puddles can get big at times... :(

Anyone else at least a little worried that this could come back to bite us in the @$$ down the road when it comes to contract negotiations and such? Agents have big egos and long memories and probably won't be thrilled about this move.

Mueller and Saban can play hardball with Drew.. Just like the Eagles are doing with him.. I dont think it will matter, things will work out.

I'm not saying they need to be there, its just that Saban is trying to keep his players isolated from the outside world. I think that there eventually might be some type of backlash either from the players, agents, or media that really isn't worth having a "distraction free" environment.
I think you're right. It could come back and become more of a distraction that it is to just let it be. But, I don't think any of the players are going to say anything. Maybe the agents and the media, but not the players. From what I can tell so far with Saban, he's no-nonsense and expects the players to have total focus on football. And I can't see any of the players going against this -- it just wouldn't be in their best interest.

That would be really curious to find out, if that's true.

SkapePhin - so funny

The agents should get back in their offices, where they belong.

Sorry but despite what some of you might think, agents are not family. They are hardly "friends" in the true sense of the word. Example, see how well an affluent agent takes care of his middle-of-the-road athlete when he has a career ending injury. But...but...we are FRIENDS! almost FAMILY.

Yeah, my CPA and ATTORNEYs all love me like a brother when I'm paying their fees

Does Randy hitting his wife affect us? Seems to me quite a few people were upset by that, and before you say it's not the same thing, it is in the fact that it has nothing to do with us. Again just because he doesn't agree with a move the team makes doesn't mean he should be told to find another team to root for.

Players could also be thinking, hell what is next? I can't have my family or friends here. If they start feeling like they are in a dictatorship they will be out the door first chance they get, just look at the Jags with Coughlin.

Great decision. It will eliminate the majority of outside distractions and allow the coaches to gain more control.

Well considering Rosenhaus will come up to players in the bathroom while they are pissing I'm sure Rosenhaus crossed a line somewhere and Nick took notice.

I honestly think Saban wants the dolphins to think nothing but football and no unnecessary distractions to get in the way. I do agree with the agents being banned from the parking lots. Lets face it all those rich ****ers can talk on their own time.
