I'd have to say 2. These for me are the best IMO to ever play the game they certainly have to be the best

1. Walter Payton
2. Gale Sayers

these are the best backs Chicago had and in my eyes the best and Cedric follows these 2 backs as the best in Bear history and in the NFL

Maybe those are the best 2 in bears history but for my money Ill take Barry and Jim Brown.

i think these 2 were star calibers althogh Gale had a short career cuz of injuries did u ever see this guy run. Barry Sanders once had said that Gale was the best he ever sawww!!!!!!

The best RB I've ever watched play is Barry. I like watching Earl Campbell as well.

I have to agree with byroan.

#1 Barry Sanders
#2 Earl Cambell
Both were awesome to watch. I remember watching Earl Cambell run over the Dolphins a few times, man he was awesome.
And this is gonna shock somebody...I think Ricky Williams was one of the best backs of all time. I think the season he led the nfl in rushing was just a small taste of what he could of been. It's a shame.

Jim Brown as a stand alone, followed by Sanders and E. Smith... You can say there is one thing Shula learned during his stint in Baltamore, that Lombardi was right, this IS a game of running the ball. Look what happened when he applied it: Csonka, Morris and Kiick! I would vote that the most deadly back field ever created. It's a shame he was never able to continue in that tradition.

Sombody's been watching too much "Brian's song".

What's "Brian's song?" I'm not sure who you're refering to since you didn't quote anyone. I guess I should go look that up incase you're refering to me. :roflmao:

1. Walter Payton
2. Barry Sanders
3. Jim Brown *(Only saying this because Jim Brown was a man playing against boys, at the time if I am not mistaken)
4. O.J. Simpson

Its a movie about Brian Picalo with Gale Sayers in it as a rookie. A very good movie.
