All time best Running BAck!!!

:roflmao: :roflmao: OHHH Nooooo....power and speed have NOTHING to do with what can make one back better than another. :shakeno: They are definetly two factors that would be put into what ANY coach thinks about a RB. We sure didn't draft Ronnie Brown because he could win the Dolphins a beauty pageant. He was drafted because of his power, his speed, his hands. (TO name a few things)

ohhh nooo, i didnt say nothing now did i? i said there is MORE. Emmitt Smiths vision is unmatched by anybody. there are a ton of fast and powerful guys that hasnt been successful in this league cause they have Zero vision or elusiveness what so ever.

Im a big fan of Kay Jay Harris, but his combo of speed and power didnt get him drafted now did it?

1. Barry Sanders

2. Waltor Payton
3. OJ Simpson
4. Jim Brizzown
5. Emmit Smith

how, may i ask, do you have a guy on there that only had 5 total season in which he ran over 750 yards?

when guys like walter payton and emmit smith has had over 10 seasons of 1000 yards or more. Along with Jim Brown having what 8 rushing titles in 9 years? and a MVP 4 times. i dont see how OJ can even be in that company.

Will have to disagree with this one ... Vision and Elusiveness are definately in favor of Mr. Sanders. I have seen him juke people out of their shoes that there was no way in hell he could of seen them. The guy just had a 6th sense about it that was absolutely amazing.

edit:
I know you didnt say Emmit was more elusive but would have to give it to Barry if we were to compare.

Well he did lead the league in rushing 4 out of 5 years, back to back rushing champion twice. 3 time NFL Player of the year, and 5 Probowls.

AGAIN, you need to go back and read all of my posts that lead up to my comment before you can say anything about what I said. Power and speed are extremely important. Vision? Definetly important and Sanders had that just as good as anyone. Elusiveness, Sanders was second to none.

As for our own Ronnie Brown: Vision was brought out as one of his weaknesses. So was elusiveness. But he was drafted #2 overall. Are you saying he isn't going to be good?

If your gonna be comparing him to the likes being compared here in his first year, not sure how he will stack up but Im hoping for the best :D :D :D

if that were true, than yea i would be telling you that. but i dont know who you been listening to. but Vision and elusiveness are not a weakness in browns game. he may not have amazing agility, but hes elusive. and he has very good vision.

Sweetness = The Enitre Pakcage.
No to Barry because you couldn't count on him to get the tough yard.
Brown is so close, but Payton was more versitile.
Smith is a somewhat slower version of Walter.

He is somwhat elusive. But he is called more of a straight ahead power runner for a reason...BECAUSE he is. And it was said by many "experts" that Ronnie lacked great vision.

he is a straigt ahead runner, but he is elusive. i dont know what you think elusive means, but it doesnt mean juking people out of their shoes.

Elusive means being able to make people miss, whether with a quick move, a sudden change of direction, or cutting into angles that give you an advantage in the open field.
Ronnie was the power back at Auburn. Caddy was the quicker, more elusive back. THere is no question about it. IF you are not aware of this, then you need to go back and do a little reading or maybe even try watching some vids to see thier running styles.

Caddy is a more elusive back, but does that mean that Ronnie isnt elusive? i dont get what your trying to get at......all it takes is one step to make someone miss. he is smart enough and able to move enough to be elusive. he might not be a shifty type runner, but he is elusive.
