If/when that time comes, hopefully Weaver will have a damn good system in place, and Mike will promote from within to keep the system in place.

Every one of these always "sounds" great...until it isn't. Hoping for big things from the guy...very likeable dude.

Always nice to hear good things. But it seems human nature that the out going guy did all these bad things and the incoming guy is wonderful.
 
If he can field a defense that doesn't give up a 15 point lead with 3 min left in the game on MNF we're heading in the right direction.
 
Step 1. Hope they are all right and he kills it as DC.

Step 2. Have a nuclear option to keep him as DC for a couple years if he crushes it. Make him assistant GM and or Brink's truck beeping up.

Don't even noodle on step 2 until after step 1. But retaining the DC coordinator when McD runs the offense, would be key if we like what he does.
