Expect the NFL to shuffle the start times of some of next weeks games to make most of them meaningful. Wouldn't be surprised if they moved Jets/Dolphins and Ravens/Bengals to 4.

Was absolutely thinking this. Hope it happens should Baltimore and Miami win on the East coast. But although SD would be eliminated I find it hard to believe the Chargers wouldn't want to end the season with a win over KC

I think people who assume Cincinnati won't try vs Baltimore are nuts. Here's what's at stake for Cincinnati:

If they win and the Patriots lose to Buffalo, the Bengals are the 2 seed and get a bye.

If they win and the Patriots beat Buffalo, the Bengals are the 3 seed and get the weak 6th seed instead of KC.

If they win and the Patriots and Colts both win also (likely), the Bengals are still the 3 seed due to the tiebreaker over the Colts.

If they lose, they very likely get the 4 seed and are stuck playing KC.


Bengals will show up next week IMO.

After today's debacle I'm happy the ravens lost in sh*tty fashion as well, takes that sour feeling in my gut away. Still in the playoff hunt! Take care of business next week Phins and we could be cheering for them in the playoffs.

Now if Miami can only beat the Jets, which doesn't even seem likely anymore, then they just need Cincy to beat the Ravens and the Guppies.. er Dolphins to not choke on Jet wiener and there can be another game watch the following week where the Dolphins can suffer another beat-down.

Seriously. It's hard to be that happy knowing that Miami is capable of sucking that bad.

Yeah, I'll be happy if we get in but after today I kind of feel like we don't belong there. How long will we last against the likes of new england, denver, kc, colts, cincy. We just don't look good enough to consistently play with the big boys. It will be good for moral to make the playoffs but there is about 0 chance of us doing anything in the postseason. That being said I'd be in front of my T.V. rooting whole heartedly because that's what we do.

The real thing that sucks is if we took care of business in Buffalo we'd all get to sit here and watch the night game constantly being reminded that Miami is in the drivers seat for the playoffs. That woulda been a good time.

NBC just showed playoff standings and had Ravens as 6 seed even though as it stands at the current moment, the Phins are the 6 seed.
