Another Tannehill Article? By.. Brady Quinn???

Ha ha defense 27th in ppg allowed...you'd think they were the 2000 ravens listening to people around here talk about them...coyle is a very meh dc

Miami has more problems than the qb

Yup I will never understand how coyle wasn't shown the door with Sherman. They were both equally awful.

Good article by Quinn. He pretty much said what most of us knew, that the season is hardly over and the panic among the temperamental fans around here is premature. The fact that he was actually on this team during TC give him credibility and reinforces that we should all just take the wait and see approach.

Credibility? Sorry... still poking fun at Enigmatics....

Ehh that cam wake in coverage thing is overblown..that offensive formation created that coverage look more than anything else...coyle explained it about the slanting down of the oline...

It happens...now whether or not coyle scheme was too predictable thus the chiefs oc was able to dial up that kind of mismatch look is another thing...

I'm sure he's getting a pass because of the lbs...but I agree coyle gives away too much with his boundary soft coverages and unless the pass rush gets home his units get gashed...overrated

So the defense drops to 27th after 3 games and gets blasted even though they were top 10 in that stat the past two seasons. Meanwhile, Ryan Tannehill is and has always been ranked around 27th but we just need to exercise some patience with him? You guys are too rich with this stuff...

Yes, if Cam Wake rushed the passer, he was getting double teamed and taken out of the play. Having him in coverage allows for other rushers to be 1v1 and for Cam Wake to still be a factor in the play.

I would agree with all of that minus what he said about the defense. Tannehills ass can't even stay on the field long enough to get something going, develop a rythm, give his defense a chance to rest. He can't count on his defense because they are gassed by halftime because they've basically been playing the whole game. We have to hold the record for the most 3 and outs by a team since, ****, 2000. Can anyone find those stats? It just sounded like an article fluffing a little bit cuz it was written by a qb. A qb's thoughts about defense should have no effect on his play

That said they should have recognized it maybe and worked that middle safety over the top for bracket coverage...but that requires a very instinctual safety and one that reads what he sees and goes beyond what his assignment is to overcome it...They just caught us pretty much

ThEre is no damn excuse for trusnick in the sub package...none

When we first got Coyle, everyone fell in love with him because he did some exotic blitzes with the defense. Now all the flash is gone, we can see that he's just basically an average secondary coach that did some good work in Cinci before he got here.

I was one of those people. And I really don't see how we're supposed to have a great defense with the linebackers and safeties we've put on the field the last two weeks.

But given that I've heard it was Coyle pounding the table to replace the linebackers...

Sorry but the time of possession in all 3 games debunks your theory of the defense is on the field too much.

I'm going to keep saying this. Delmas was a waste of money. He's been playing alright, but seriously. Use that money and upgrade the ****ing LBs. Have Jones and Clemons and never put Wilson at Safety.

Delmas and Jones is going to be an awful combination.

I completely agree with you bro... if they can't see it by now... well... I do hope he does great all the time just because he is in our uniform and I want to win but we all know who he is... sigh

Exotic was mostly doube a gap blitzes which teams figured out and we got gashed on by the screen game...he showed his blitz hand way too much last year and absolutely should have had a lean dion jordan coming thru gaps and looping inside in the sub

Sprinkled in some slot blitzes on the backside against qbs that lacked awareness but we always showed them too damn early presnap

I think this was an insightful article...a bunch of people around here, including myself, have been saying this to the pitchfork crowd. New system, all new o line, it's gonna take some time. No reason to panic 3 weeks in in a completely new system.
