I would not bench Tannehill, however he does comment on changing things up on the Bye week so he is not suggesting chilling to much.
That is clearly not going to happen now anyway so non of it matters.

Defense moved up to 22nd in point allowed. Special teams and lack of offense have put the defense in short field situations and they haven't been able to bend and not break.
The defense ranks highly in many other categories. 2nd in yard per play allowed. Tied for 2nd in turnovers created, 2nd in Net yards per pass allowed, Tied for 3rd in Sacks.
If the offense does its job like in London and converts 3rd downs (5 of 11) then this greatly helps the defense reduce its scoring amount allowed. For the year we are currently 23rd in converting 3rd downs on offense. This has led to more points allowed by defense.
All 3 phases need to do their part.

You take Rex Ryan and laugh all the way to a significantly improved defense schematically and motivationally. Give Rex's scheme our pass rushers and watch out. Harbaugh + Rex Ryan as DC might just make my head explode from pure awesomeness...

Didn't his dad get in a fist fight with another coach on his team? That would happen again with Rex and Harbagh together, that is almost a guarantee. And it would be awesome.
His dad punched Kevin Gilbride when they were DC and OC of the Houston Oilers. in 1994. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.
Harbaugh punched Jim Kelly in 1997 after Kelly questioned his toughness.
