Apparently the Dolphins may be able to get a little something for Martin

You're basing this on Bullygate, and without the report even being known. I basing my opinion on watching him every game in 2012, his off season commitment, on his own time and at his own expense, to get better after that disaster of a season, and his improvement in 2013 which he had.

I also consider that he is young, cheap, and don't see getting a better OT prospect in the 4th round.

like it or not bullygate will play a role, teams would be bringing in a guy who they don't know if he can handle the LR, he was basically an average player and add in everyone expects Miami to release him and why would anyone give up a pick let alone a mid rd pick for a guy like that?

You have to see the whole picture though....that includes running out on your team and someone who may not be able handle the NFL life. That's a deal crusher for any team.

When your idiot owner, flat out says in an interview, he will not be a Dolphin, it kind of kills your trade ability. Ross needs to shut up !!!

Because they cannot get anyone better in the 3rd or 4th round, and do not want to bid against others on money.

I do not believe that to be the case here. Many overvalue draft picks, when you are doing good to hit on 50%. We shall see.

how do you know they can't get anyone better in 3rd/4th rd? It's not like he has been great when he has played, if he was then maybe someone takes a chance but now someone will give up picks for a guy who may not be stable?

As posted, I expect a 4th rounder (possibly a 3rd). Phans personal opinions don't matter to teams looking to add talent, and he has some.

If Hickey can get a 3rd or 4th for Martin, we have found the best GM in the league.

Against the waiver wire not money. Despite all of this garbage he does have talent and I would be surprised to see him go unclaimed.

My mistake, and thanks for the correction. FWIW, Martin actually outplayed guys like Lane Johnson in pass blocking, as well as other 1st round OT picks in the first half of last year. True story.

Just going by the odds, and what I've seen of OT's throughout the NFL. For a bit of fun, care to make a gentleman's wager of a bottle of our favorite spirits?

I don't drink but I will make a fun bet if you want.

Just because he HAS started doesnt mean he CAN start...
He is a starter in this league and those are worth something. There is certainly a team or two that would consider giving up a 6th or 7th for him which is better than cutting him loose and losing him for nothing.

Sorry to hear that. Howzabout if we do not get a 4th rounder, you post a thread on how much better Tannehill is over Jets QB's (including Sanchise), and if we do not get a 4th, I post a thread on how much better the Jets QB's are than RT (including Sanchise).

It would be a very tuff task for me but, I believe I can spin it. LOL

IF there is a more complicated trade on trading up or a next year's pick, we let the forum decide who won.
