I was talking to a Dolphin season ticket holder yesterday and he was telling me how heated it gets in the stands between the two fanbases.

He went on to tell me he has seen a number of fist fights and confrontations in the stands.

Is this true?

Any good stories to share?:D

Yeah, Jets games @ Dolphin stadium is always a heat up... There are ALWAYS fight and if they win? OH LORD! you wont hear the end of it on the way out but to be fair we do the same if we win.

its true i havent had to deal with it first hand

but have seen some crazy stuff happen in the stands of fin/ jets games

this rivalry is taken another step lol

Been to the Jets Home a few times and they are pretty Brutal, Buffalo as well, But the Jet fans are usually pretty cordial in the parking lot during Tailgate Party. If the Fins win it's pretty quiet going back to the car, but if the jets win you will have a few people get in your face on the way out. They pretty much SUCK OUT LOUD!!!!!!!!!!

Nearly got thrown in jail at the Colts Dolphins game a few years back. Security went after anyone in dolphins gear. ****in east siders.

i live in nyc and i went 2 a couple of jet dolphins games and it is absoulty wild there. i go there with my dolphin jersey and my mets hat just 2 let people no im a local dolphin fan. i usally go there with a bunch of friends who are roudy jets fans, these scumbag jets fans bring boxes of goldfish crackers 2 the games and throw them at dolphins fans wlaking up the stands. i saw jest fans take there empty plastinc beer bottles and chuck them off of dolphins fans heads.if i didnt go there with 15 juice bag jets fans they probably would have done the same 2 me. i would have defintly been fighting jets fans if they disrespected me. but they are defintly roudy here in nyc so i hope u guys abuse the jets fans over there in miami.

Just punch them PUNKS in the face we gone smash them come Sept 7. I hope that it is hot and humid that day.Remember It's a new day Snitches

Absolutely true! Heat combined with alcohol combined with some rude JETS fans = many a rumble in the stands, but that's what makes it so fun!

I remember one game in particular where there was a few JETS fans sitting behind us like 4 rows up. One guy told me to sit down so he could see the game. Now I'm not sure if he was new to football, but it was during what was called a timeout (have to explain it for the new to football fans and that guy in particular if he ever comes on this board)and the players weren't even on the field. Needless to say, I have a rather short fuse when it comes to stupidity and proceeded to tell him to STFU and begged him to come down but the punk wouldn't come!

I live in NY - Big Dolphin FAN go every year when Fins are in NJ.............It is crazy....Cant take my wife.....worse then red sox yankees.....classless

At Dolphin Stadium:

I remember seeing Dolphans beat up some Jet fans in the bathroom.

At a tailgate, Jets fans were tossing a football around, as I was walking by, the ball hit me square in the face. I proceeded to grab the ball and I punted the **** out of it.

I have seen endless fights in the crowds, but can't remember too many details. Usually it ends with the Jets fan getting escorted out. That is the usual outcome, regardless who is right or wrong. :)

So I guess that's a reminder to Jet fans, if they come down here talking ****, they might as well keep their mouth shut if they want to see their team play.

Two years ago we played the jets here in late december. My dad and i were season ticket holders (he had them since 72 and this is the first year, 2008, that we didnt renew becasue of the prices being EXTREMELY jacked up over the past 2 years and becasue I know live in Orlando). Anyways, we sat in section 427 for almost 20 years and by that time everyone around u is family. well, for the first time we had a group of jets fans from the UK in front of us and they wouldnt shut up the whole game! twards the end of the game they started getting louder and louder twards us and i said something to piss one guy off. All of a sudden one guy thats about twice my age, im 21, goes to swing at me and my dad, who's 55 years old, leaps over the entire row and trucks this guy!!! all the fans protected us and got some shots in and the cops came and arrested the jets fans and we didnt get in any trouble!!!!!! I remember the whole front of the section saying "it was them, it was the f!#%!# jets fans!!" jets vs. dolphin games are THE BEST games to see live but be prepared to always have an eye over your shoulder. once that stupid J_E_T_S chant starts, hell will soon follow! I will be there on September 7th and hope we slam favre back into retirement!

Jet fans are all talk. One of them once brought a sign (forgot what it said) and I grabbed it and smacked him on the head with it and he did nothing.

Some people on wqam were just taking this the other day , they said there are around 20 to 25 fights every time the Jets come to town.
