Are you all so unwilling to believe that our problems run deeper than Ireland?

Salguero and Darlington are both top flight journalists. They both have deep sources feeding them info. Their job is not to tell you what you want to hear but to use their sources and experience to paint a picture of the truth as best they can.

Trust me, the news biz cannot afford to pay salaries for hit pieces.

When you have several local and nationally connected reporters all conveying there is combustible dysfunction in the organization that will make upper tier candidates choose other options, it's not so they can get the goat of fans on fan forums.

My only agenda, is to wait and see how next year pans out. I just think it's funny that some people think the sky is falling, based on a couple of crappy beat writters, but then don't listen to the actual journalists that say the organization is in good shape, or have a position open that is highly desirable.

Yes it is highly desirable but not under these conditions. That's how I see it.

All I know is that I enjoyed about 12 hours of happiness after the Ireland firing.

It has been replaced by anger, confusion, and at times disbelief.

I just want to feel good for more than a week.

Haha me too man, me too

just because a bunch of crappy reporters are trying to start a fire, doesnt mean there's anything to it. Controversy sells.

"A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still." LOL

didnt the bullygate emphasize to you people how much the media overblows EVERYTHING?!

Yes, but again multiple sources are confirming these reports... enough said.

Are you saying there was only one source reporting on bully-gate? Cause I'm pretty sure it was even being reported on non-sports sites like TMZ and others.

The condition has not changed, since Darlington and others have said it was a coveted position.

I give up. It's a coveted position and everything is Hunky Dorey in Dolphin Disneyland.

I'm actually surprised at the amount of people who are denying that there is anything wrong with this organization and that there's a media conspiracy to destroy the Dolphins. Salguero, La Canfora, Clayton and Cole, four well respected journalists who are paid to dig and who have many more contacts than any of us do inside the organization, are all saying the power structure set up by Ross has become a circus. They are reporting in-fighting and political allegiances between members of the front office and coaching staff, and rather than give any credence to these reports, I've notice most of Finheaven has dismissed them outright as "assassination attempts" at Dawn Aponte and Steven Ross.

I'm aware that being skeptical is a good way to be, but denying things outright because they don't make you feel good about the state of your team is plain ignorant. We should be taking these reports with a grain of salt, but demanding answers from the team that we follow and spend hard earned money on.

I get that we want to start a new chapter, and the idea that now with Ireland gone, we can find someone who will deliver for us and bring us to the Superbowl. But is it so hard to believe that the problems with the Dolphins go beyond Ireland, and that he proudly wears the uniform of the scapegoat, while the real cause of the disaster continues to own and run this team?

Don't get me wrong, I think Ireland's decision to trade Marshall in a year we desperately needed a WR, then to overpay for Wallace and let Bush and Long walk in a year we had no run game or offensive line, should be reason enough to fire him. But I think the issues on this team start at the very top, everything with Ross and below is questionable at best.

Bill Parcells left this team for a reason, he had written in his contract that he could leave and get paid the entire amount of his contract if the team was sold, this was to protect him just in case he didn't want to work for the new owner.....it is no surprise to me that our front office is a mess, it became apparent to me that Ross was the one calling the shots when he disrespected Sparano with the trip to Cali....Ross is the problem, if he doesn't get his **** together we are the new Browns and Raiders......

It will be interesting to see who we get to be our OC and GM in this climate....

I love that Dee and Ireland are gone.

It may not matter if Ross continues to have poor instincts.

I don't see how a top general manager candidate is attracted by an Aponte/Czar sandwich.
