Are you ok with Martin returning to the team?

Kid will need a change of scenery.. No way he comes back to the same locker room if at all.

Nope. He's bad at his job, and he has a documented past of engaging in felonious activities against his teammates.

Yes, I'd take him back. He's done nothing wrong and he's better than any other tackle the Fins have. Even if Miami got two new stud tackles next year (doubtful), he'd at least be a valuable backup swing player on the O-line. Unless the drug rumors are true, I don't see why Miami wouldn't want him back. Cogs is the loser here; not Martin.

Another dumbass talking about him not being "man enough". Seriously **** you, I don't even care if the mods come down on me.

I want him back. He deserves to be on this team and he deserves to learn and grow as a player without being talked down to by his teammates (incog).

yeah, he deserves to come back and get tannehill killed. That's the spirit!!!

Hell no. There was a right way and a wrong way on how to handle this. He chose wrong.

No.. he didn't deserve the way he was treated, but that doesn't take away the impression he's not cut out for macho football trench play, if Richie sr is right, he's mentally unhinged and suicidal, maybe dangerously so, and the revelation by Darlilngton to Rome that he participated in the same get up and leave trick on Gardner the previous week signals to me that he was waiting to make the most visible impactful exit in an interest to seed his retirement fund.

For what it's worth, I fully believe Richie Sr. on the depression thing. He checked himself into a facility, so there's more here than some voice mails Richie sent him 7 months ago, IMO.

And no, that's not a defense of Richie. Grow the **** up, Richie, you jagoff.

Never mind the team.

Personally, Martin's career is over. His average play will not out weigh the drama circus that will surround this kid for the life of his NFL career (if any). Basically labeled a snitch from this point forward that couldn't "man up" and handle his personal business. (Not that I agree with that thought process).

As others said, all of this is just to line up for a lawsuit, period.

How could any of you say "he's in the wrong line of work", when he's played high level football his whole life? The dude isn't a pansy. I'm sorry, he's gone up against talent his whole life. Yeah he's struggling in the pros but he was a great collegiate athlete. How can you sit in your computer chair and call this guy a *****? I mean seriously...

And he's mentally weak because he didn't want to come to work with someone that was being racist and saying "i'll kill you" not matter how much in jest it was? Comeon people...

He wouldn't be ok to come back on the team as a backup even? Really? I didn't know we were so deep there...

anyone remember the (KC?) player who killed himself in the offseason.

I don't believe Richie Sr, BUT just think about this: if Richie pushed the wrong buttons on the wrong kid, we could be talking about an actual suicide OR murder suicide.

I call him a ***** because he couldn't do like every other player and handle his
business like a man. He's also a ***** because he dishes it out, but
he can't take it. It's ok to steal a teammate's car, but he's a victim when
someone uses some words against him.

Whatever.

This bugs me.

What have either Richie or Richie Sr. done to warrant us believing a word they say? Seriously, Richie has mental issues. So we are to believe that HE is the normal one and the overly-cerebral Stanford grad (with literally no history of off or on field issues) is the crazy one?

down is up.

That's why Vaark used the word "if". Just cause they are douches doesn't mean they can't be right every now and again. I'm not going to buy into anything they say, but they could still be right.

I believe Sr too.. If Martin put a gun to his head more than a few times, tried to kill himself 3X, is rage filled and fueled by drugs, that gun in his hand IMO presents a real and serious workplace threat of violence. I could see him going postal.

Well I more or less agree with you here. But we just don't know enough. We don't know what steps he took, if any. But if he didn't I agree that he obviously should have and it shows poor judgement if he didn't.

Lets not forget that Martin was a highly touted prospect. Some even had him in the 1st round. That doesn't mean hes good, obviously he needs a lot of work, but other teams will jump at him. He has good footwork and is good with his hands. Just lacks some physicality.

It's almost making me ill defending Martin as a player but the question from the OP was "Are you OK with martin returning?" and just to answer that questions. Yes I am.

Ryan Leaf was a highly touted prospect himself. Now I believe he's in jail some where. The mental make up needed for the NFL is not for the meek.

Now, Martin may have graded out to some as a first round prospect, but the fact is he wasn't taken in the first round.

To me, I've seen enough of him to know the position was not a strength of this team.

The OP and others, myself included, don't matter in this situation. Its that locker room. You can take Martins side, but that locker room will have more say and rightly so. And frankly, I think more players will come out and not necessarily defend Incog, but will in no way speak positively of Martin. Unlike Ricky, Martin is not a quality NFL player.

Saving material for the media and walking out on your team, is not a great resume builder for other NFL franchises.

Random thought on the matter:

What if Martin's text to Incognito was honest? Seriously. What if Martin meant it when he said he was cool with Incognito and that the depression he's battling is not related to workplace bullying?

Could it be that Martin's parents are driving this ****storm?

I'm sure this thought will be swept away immediately in a hail of 'OMG INCOGNITO IS A HORRIBLE PSYCHOPATH' -- and I'm not exactly gonna shed any tears for Richie here, but... I can't help but think.
