Are you upset that Berlin got cut?

I'm a Cane Homer and saw him play a lot of games of at the U. True He is not ready to be an NFL QB, and He wasn't an outstanding College QB, but he is a "gammer" especially at the end of a game when when you need a score he makes a lot of big plays. If the whole game was the 2 minute drill he would be a stand out.

He reminds me of Flutie. Maybe if he spends 7 or 8 years in the CFL and comes back.

Nope, I am not upset that Berlin was cut because I was honestly expecting it to happen. I really wouldn't mind if he gets placed on the Practice Squad, infact I do think that would actually be a good idea.

I know there was a ****load of people on the Berlin Bandwagon, and I am just wondering who here is upset that he got cut? I dont give a damn, the only reason he looked good is because he played against back ups.

Berlin sucked on a national championship quality team. He won games because of that team not because he was a great QB. If he couldnt get it don at UM he isnt gonna do much at the NFL level

I would have liked to sent him over to NFL Europe, just because we have no QB prospects and he looked good in pre-season.

Yeah, sure.

I'm a homer and I'll put him at 3rd string over Sage anyday.

So yeah.

Brock is a "good" qb but i think he still has the Canes system in him, he played great when he was at UM. he'll get sent to NFL Europe where he will learn and develope as caliber QB.

That's a very interesting statement. I certainly don't think that he played great while at UM and neither did many Canes fans. One of the guys at 790 The Ticket brought up a good point when he said that he couldn't believe that so many of the Canes/Phins fans that couldn't wait for Brock to leave UM were suddenly now pulling for him to have a chance to start for the Phins. To be honest, that puzzles me as well since, as I said, I certainly don't remember him being "great" at UM.

Having said that, I'm not upset he got cut. In fact, I am still surprised that he was even brought in in the first place.

I started to post something like this but thought to let it go but now that it is said I agree.

Yeah he excelled against his equivalent competition, why should anymore have been expected of him especially as an undrafted rookie? In fact I'd go as far as to say he was playing below his equivalent competition. But anyway, I'm not overly surprised or upset over his release, just so long as he makes the PS I'll be happy

Why do people keep bringing up the fact that he was undrafted? undrafted players do have success in this league you know, just look at priest holmes.

Based on your tone, I guess you are a fan of one of the LOSING florida teams...

Actually, I didn't like him that much with the Canes (but I did love him during the second half of that infamous Florida Gator game) I was surprised he did as well as he did in the two preseason games, and hope he can find his way onto someones practice squad.

i am so mad about this because i am a huge fan and i think he can be good

because not many of them if any are QBs...but I'll retract that part of my post if it means that much to you...

So ummmm, what does this do to his rookie card value? lol. Yeah ebay damnit. Bought a Miami DOlphins 2005 Team set, including rookies.... 8 cards, not what I call a "Team Set" he was one of the rookies. But I got another brown and roth in it.
