No way! As has already been stated; you play to win. I do not understand how a person can say they are a fan of a team, and be ok with them losing. You have to win now because you never know what happens next year. Ending up with a top 5 draft pick does not promise you that one player to put you over the edge. Leading up to the '04 draft Robert Gallery was considered to be the one and only sure bet to make an instant impact and quickly become a perennial pro-bowler. In fact the only reason he wasn't the 1st overall was because of the position he plays. The last I heard he's still playing RT instead of LT. Leinert could turn out to be another Manning or McNabb; or he could be another Leaf or Couch, etc, etc.

The people who want to lose aren't real fans. I want to fight hard each and every game. Some of you guys plain out make me sick.

Wins before anything else. That's why they play the game! Plus 1st round picks aren't always a guarantee to be successful. I'd take the W

Superbowl or bust! In all the years I have been a Fin fan, i can honestly say that last year was the only time where i wouldn't watch entire fin games or even really care. No way i want to go through that again.

No, there is no such thing as losing for the greater good. I want to win every single game no matter what.

what the hell are you driving at? Yeah lets lose to get a top pick! Brilliant!

Your missing the point of the question...

What I am driving at is how to look at "the glass as half full". I dont want the team to lose. I would love to win every game. But lets talk reality and not fanaticism.

You do play to win the game, but as was the case last year, many times the other team is going to score atleast 1 more point that what we do. And that my friends is called a Loss.

All I was getting at was a simple question of what suffering though another less than expected season would be like and what would make it tolerable or acceptable for you.

I can accept the answer that its superbowl or bust, but I can also accept a fan who says suffering one more season is ok, because it means we can build through the draft as well as FA and get top talent which could help us for many future years.

No harm no foul on the question or the answers in my view.

Heres a question for ya:

Are you willing to have a pittbull tear off your balls just so you wont have kids?

I would say 8-8 or bust theres no way were gonna win it all.

of course i want to win but it's not realistic this year. lets suck balls again and get a legit QB such as Leinart.
