Armando - Landry could still be traded for right price

I think I am the only one who thinks Taylor is a good QB. The kid doesn't make mistakes and seldom turns the ball over. Since Taylor has taken over at QB Buffalo has 60 takeaways to 33 giveaways as a team (+27 turnover ratio thru 3 years) of those giveaways Taylor is responsible for 18.

I'd take the Tyrod on this team right now............Miami would be better with him.
Tyrod is a fine qb. Don’t see the hate for him either.

pay the man already...I woulda been pissed if we traded him for a 1st to an NFC team...I cannot believe this team and the fans were tinkering with trading Jarvis Landry....like, really? what the hell is going on

Why? He’s not a game breaking star you need to throw money at.

The Dolphins have absolutely no problem paying Landry, It's the amount he wants to be paid that is the problem. No one can force landry to sign a contract, just as Landry can't force the Dolphins to pay him what he feels he's worth. The Dolphins have every right to be cautious in wanting to pay a slot receiver top 5 WR money and to make matters worse, reports coming out from Dolphin land is that Landry is not putting in the necessary study time to be great and more importantly to help make the team great. He is so caught up in wanting to PAID and grumbling to teammates, that his play has fallen off this year, some of it not his fault, but some of it definitely is.

Not sure but Miami can sign him to his tag with the intent on keeping him but then trade him ... it happens sometimes

I think it's pretty clear Miami won't tag him. The trade offers they got told them his worth

You're not the only one who thinks he's a decent QB. When Buffalo signed him and everyone was talking about EJ Manuel / whoever the hell else they signed at that time, I told everyone Tyrod Taylor would win the starting job. And he did.

His problem is that he hasn't really developed at all. He is a guy who won't cough the ball up too much and is a great deep ball thrower with good mobility, but he can't throw guys open, doesn't throw it hard outside the hashes, and struggles to read coverage in the middle of the field. To his credit, he actually understands these things and avoids them (a big part of why he has so few turnovers), but it limits him as a quarterback.

I see no reason at all why we would not tag Juice, our 3 top WR's are the strength of this team and very possibly our identity moving forward.

I get it that every player has a price that both the player thinks they deserve to be paid as well as a price the team is willing to spend on him...I look at it like this, would you rather pay Suh (who I hope we can find a way to keep) his boatload of cash in 2018 at 17million and a 26million cap hit for this D who has young talented DTs in Taylor and Godchaux as well as Phillips...versus paying Landry, who yes is a slot WR technically top 5 WR money? who would replace him if we kept Suh and let Landry walk? NO ONE on this team can replace him...for Christ sake cut Thomas re-structure Pouncey and try to re-structure Suh before you go letting Jarvis Landry walk...that would be absolutely unacceptable...I still cant believe we are having this discussion..if Landry freelances or doesn't study enough so be it, get on him and ride his ass but don't let him walk...it'd be a different story if he was acting like a cancer in the locker room, which isnt the case

The strength of this team is Wake and Suh.

The injured guy, the bubble screen guy, and the deep ball specialist who doesn't have a QB to throw him deep balls right now guy aren't the strength of the team.

True, but they are old men by NFL standards, especially Wake. I'm talking about the future, need to build around something...

I don't really know that we have anything to build around. There are nice pieces but I don't know if this team has a definitive core on either side of the ball. I guess I would agree that healthy Tannehill + healthy Parker + Kenny Stills + Landry would be the foundation of a good passing game. I'm just afraid Parker will never get healthy.

No team was willing to trade for Landry with a possible tag year and with his pay demand.

Personally, I think Stills, Juice and Parker is the best young trio of WR's in the NFL, and I have b****** a lot about Parker this year like everyone else. I think we can and will build around these 3 for our future, and I think the Carroo trade indicates that because I think our 4th/5th WR's will basically always be on rookie contracts, and Carroo is a guy they really liked, hence his value to our FO.

Several teams were interested, we just didn't like their offers.
