Roles, smoles..... The fact is that he didn't. If his play had warranted him getting that many touches, he would had gotten them. It didn't so he did not....
dude you have no idea what you're talking about. stallworth is an intermediate to deep ball threat, meaning his main roll in the offense was to catch 15-20 yard passes. unlike welker who catches slants, posts, in's and outs. when is the last time u saw brady hit welker on a fade route?

Well, prove it! The fact is that Donte didn't even play as many snaps as Wes. Who did the Pats bring in first? Donte, right? They signed him to a contract that was pretty significant. Evidently he didn't have as much value as they thought he did as they did not really put up much effort to stop him from leaving, did they?

The proof is in the games. Welker and Stallworth didn't do the same thing, which is why Welker had 110 catches and Stallworth did not. Put Welker on the outside and run him on deep routes and he wouldn't have half those catches.

hmmm who did they bring in after donte stallworth? randy moss! so if you had to pick one to keep one high priced receiver on you're team, would you really pick donte? i think not. thats why hes in cleveland.

More than I saw him hit Stallworth. When they signed him to the contract that they put on the table for him, you mean to tell me that all they were expecting was for him catch balls 15 to 20 yards down the field? No! They were expecting him to be on the field a lot more! They were hoping that he could provide a lot more options that 15 to 20 yards down the field. He couldn't so they traded for Wes. Who wound up being on the field more? Wes or Donte?

You're kind of proving yourself wrong Chris. You said that any NFL receiver could do what Wes does. If that was true then Donte could have done it and there would not have been any reason to bring in Wes, right?

YES they were expecting him to do alot more....until they got randy moss. and who wouldnt want moss? but you still dont understand what im trying to say, welker and stallworth do totally different things on the field. and no, brady never hit wekler on the fade's cause thats not what he does!!!

No, he's in Cleveland because he was not as versatile as they envisioned him being and because they can pay someone a lot less to only run 15 to 20 yard routes.....

Stallworth had a different role in the offense.

They were expecting him to do a lot more period! Randy was just gravy. And, Randy is more versatile. Brady did hit Welker on fades. Maybe they just were not the variety that you claim Stallworth was assigned to do....

no, he's a deep ball threat in cleveland as well. once again, you have no clue. he ran intermediate routes in new england cause they had moss runnin the deep routes.

Well, they didn't have Moss when they signed him, did they? Yes, that's what he's going to do in Cleveland because that's what he was brought in to do. The Pats were hoping for more out of him. He couldn't produce what they wanted...
