At minimum, the two of them need to either get some professional help to stop having such explosive fights, or they need to split up. That situation isn't good for anybody.

Innocent people get off all of the time. Heck, I did a few things in my younger days that I should have been in trouble for. Never got caught. I won't be doing those things again either.

Not beating women, messing with kids, or murdering anybody, but I did a little bit of stupid stuff.
