Nintendo Nerd and proud of it!
I am sure this news would not even be out if Saban didn't think he was worth the price, what ever it is.

nick wont overpay. but he will find us a great olb in the draft
Reports are like ******* you fool, every station has one. Look at Vince Young's work out today. Chris Mortensen reported that Vince Young's preformance may have raised more questions than answers today, meaning he didn't do very well, while Sean Salisbury gave Vince an A- because he couldn't, "in good conscience", give Vince a solid A so early in March, w/e the heck that means. So there you go. Two guys who both report for ESPN news (It doesn't get more professional than ESPN), both looking at the same exact work out, and both reporting totally different information. Your problem is that you're so emotionally tied up in the Phins aquiring Arrington that you'll jump like a cheerleader at the sound of any radio station who could aswell be misinformed, as all information comes from sources who have sources so forth and so on, and those of you who have played telephone in kindergarden know what thats like, or the station could very well be assuming about Arrington just for the ratings, or even reporting misinformation given by Poston sources to purposley make other teams come out form behind the shadows . You don't know, I don't know, and some radio station on satellite only wishes they knew. What you would know if you could unclinch your cornhole for 5 seconds is this A) Saban doesn't spend big money in FA, he's proven that so far in his career. B)Arrington will definitely be looking for Julian Peterson money which leads to C) Unless Arrington decides to play for Miami due to motivation beyond monetary demand, he will more than likely sign the contract Saban will not offer him, in Jacskonville. Do you need a radio station to give you that kind of common sense? Hey, I hope Arrington signs too- beast of a player the man is. But don't always believe what you read and always question everything you hear.DolphinDevil28 said:Do some of you guys read?
Or do you just like to see yourselves type??? The man just said Fox Sports Radio reported LaVar is close to signing with us, not Jacksonville.
I just get a kick out of some people coming on this site and acting like their statements are the "end-all be-all" truth. Especially when there are reports that the opposite is true.
LB STICKER SHOCK?
The Dolphins and the agent for former Pro Bowl linebacker LaVar Arrington haven't talked about a contract since Monday, and sticker shock may be the reason.
Agent Kevin Poston said Wednesday he last spoke with the Dolphins to tell them of linebacker Julian Peterson's imminent signing with Seattle. Poston, who represents both players, believes the Peterson contract set the market at the position, so he hopes Arrington will get an a similar offer.
Peterson signed a six-year, $55 million deal that included an $11.8 million signing bonus.
''Some teams were saying they had Julian ranked No. 1 [among free agent linebackers] and LaVar ranked No. 2,'' Poston said. ``Others said LaVar was first and Peterson next.''
An NFL source said Wednesday that Miami is unlikely to reach that high a price tag to acquire Arrington, thus the lull in talks.

All that could be different today. The news is too fast for the written word to keep up with. We shall see.rvicious said:According to the Herald, talks of signing have turned lull, he wants to much money, I truly doubt we will sign for that price tag. It wouldn't be smart to pay that much money, we can do better things with all that cash.
