would rather trade Gibson and Matthews and keep our draft picks, for andre. or maybe Gibson and Pouncey for andre and whoever they have as their starting center. only need an average guy in there anyway.

He will be playing guard this year, but was drafted as a center. That's the nice thing about making proactive moves like that. If he doesn't cut it, they still have time to take another shot at an eventual replacement for Myers. Keyword is "eventual." Most Phins fans don't understand it because we only draft for immediate, desperate need in most cases (Landry was a nice surprise).
Myers is a pro bowler and a key to their run offense, so no, not even for a top 3 center (Based on what? Considering you clearly don't know who Myers is, I'm wondering how you determine that.) in a contract year that he's going to miss half of and that they will have to drastically overpay next year if they want to keep. Sounds like a Dolphins move.
Wouldn't it make more sense to keep the pro bowl veteran that isn't a ****ing idiot off the field and that they are paying quite a bit less, see if Jones develops this year and if not, draft another center next year to be Myers's eventual replacement?
