Attendance looked like a Marlins game

Southern Florida is never going to be a great sports town. We're never going to see a home field advantage like they have in some cities. People expecting our crowd to be like Seattle, NYC, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Chicago, etc are dreaming. Even if we built the newest, greatest stadium in the NFL. Even if we go 10-6, it wouldn't matter. Refer to the Heat in their recent runs. Even with incredible star power and the best record in the NBA they can't sell out early rounds of the playoffs. You think that happens in New York or LA? It comes down to demographics. We have a very high population of cuban immigrants who grew up playing and watching soccer. But it mostly comes down to money. Good paying jobs are hard to find in Florida. Because of this you have diehard fans who chose to watch the games for free on television. Don't get me wrong there is definitely money here.. But for the most part (the ones that can afford season tickets) aren't from here - they brought it with them. They don't have much allegiance to the local team. Sure they might pay attention if they start racking up wins, but it's never going to be the same as growing up with a team. People need to relax and understand this!
