I can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading.
Why would anyone in their right mind think that the Patriots signing Testeverde is a stab at Mangini? Do you reallythink he gives a crap that his former employer signed someone that used to play for the Jets years ago? Don't you think Belichick has better things to do than to sign a QB as a taunt to his former protegee?
Secondly, he was signed as an emergency back-up in case Cassel can't play. Anybody that fears him because of what he did a half-dozen years ago needs a reality check. He was washed up when he was in Dallas, and his advanced age isn't going to help reverse that. He is there for emergency purposes only and to serve as an assistant for Brady.
