I stopped having any hope for the Legedu Naanee signing when I watched a few of his Carolina games.
For me, I think the Dolphins themselves made him obsolete when they signed Chad Johnson. Naanee could have been a 3rd stabilizing veteran presence in the unit, but with Chad Johnson here then suddenly keeping Naanee would be overloading on (mediocre) veterans while not holding enough young talent that could actually develop into something. The mix would be bad, unless you're keeping 6 wide receivers, and like I said I see little reason to do that when you plan on using your RBs and TEs like WRs.
