Basement Team?

I think the AFCE is going to be wide open this year. Every team recognized their weaknesses and made legit moves to address them and improve their talent.

I think the Pats will win it again because they have the deepest and most well-rounded team imo, but nothing's guaranteed. The Jets aren't a bad team and they added some good talent in the draft and FA so I definitely can see them with double digit wins provided their oline doesn't fall apart like it did last year. I still don't know why they didn't make a make an effort to improve the right tackle position. As far as Miami goes, I like what Philbin's done so far, and as I said right after the draft I thought the Phins had one of the bests drafts out of every team in the league. I think the Phins' ceiling is 9-7 this year but if Philbin knows what he's doing they'll keep moving in the right direction.

As far as the Bills go I like Chan Gailey and they've definitely improved their talent since he and Nix have gotten there, but their fans are overrating their dline and their defense as a whole has a long way to go; they also still have poor depth overall. I like what they have on offense and they have a lot of young players on both sides of the ball with a lot of potential. I think they're moving in the right direction and if everything goes well they'll compete for 2nd place and maybe a wildcard.

I agree that Division will be an open competition. I just do not see Brady playing in all the games. He is 34, and the division has upgraded the pass rush. I think he will be affected by injury in 6 games at least. I expect that Branch, Welker, and Waters will miss some games as well. I expect no better than a 10-6 season from the Pats. I just do not see Sanchez posting more than 10 games either. Any team has a good chance of winning this year.

With who in first? Your Jets with Sparano and Tebow at the helm?

Why do you even post here?? Hasn't Tebow given another press conference where he lets everyone know how excited he is? Go get excited over that.

I will start donating regularly to the site if one of the mods bans Junc.... Im all for diverse opinions, but these kind of posts are extremely annoying.

I agree 100%. If the mods ban Junc then I will become a VIP and donate. I will even try to convince others to donate. Junc has been holding me back from becoming a VIP for a long time and he is the reason I don't post near as often as I used to. I can't stand reading his words and many others feel the same. Make it happen Mods. I swear I will throw down money if you do

We beat the Bills 65 to 31 in the two games we played them in...so i think until they show they can play with us they will be the basement team of the AFC EAST.

Stop you're killing me. I haven't laughed this hard in years, I think I broke my keyboard spitting my drink into it.

I think I'd get some kind of Mental disease too having to watch Sanchez for 16 weeks in a year.

The fact their offense is much worse now than it was last year and their defense is in steady decline. What upgrades have they made?
I don't quite understand why the Jets would suddenly finish in last place. I mean sure it can happen but how likely is it? Where's the confidence you're getting coming from?

But but but, they signed Mario Williams. Don't you know that makes them an instant Super Bowl competitor?

You dont think the addition of Mark Anderson (10 sacks, 2 FF's in 2011) and The Pornstache (one of the best defensive coordinators in the league) helps them. Sorry but they went from having the 2nd worst to potentially hands down the best defense in the division and possibly one of the best in the league.

Much worse b/c of Sparano? Tebow will actually help the offense and since he isn't going to be the total focal point, I don't see them being worse on offense.

Upgrades? The WR they drafted is supposed to be alright. I don't give enough of a **** about them to really know what else they did in the offseason.

I'm not calculating rookies into the equation because we dont know if they will help their team or not.

I disagree with you that Tebow makes their team better. How does he make them signficantly better getting a small amount of snaps and playing special teams? I certainly do think their offense will be worse with Sparano than the 25th overall it was ranked last year. Their scoring offense was decent but we all know how good Sparanos teams are at scoring. Also they dont have any WR's outside of Holmes, who probably will be even more of a non-factor and a cry baby (already starting this OTA's) than he was last year.

Do you think we had a better off season than the Bills?

Well from the not unimportant perspective that we now have Philbin and Sherman, while they still have Chan and Curtis Modkins and now David Lee, that would have to be an affirmative

I'm sorry but you guys really just have zero objectivity.
The Bills signed arguably a top 3 pass rusher in the entire league and another very effective pass rusher while we dumped our best offensive player and hired a new coaching regime. Philbin might very well end up being a great coach, but he also might end up being a massive failure, we have no idea he's completely unproven.

Unfortunately I think Tebow will help with the wildcat a lot more than R.Brown and RW did in Miami. Plus would it really surprise you if Sparano somehow someway was a good OC for the Jets? I can see it now...those d-bags being a Top 10 offense.

Why? Because it's the Jets and our lives as Dolphins fans are miserable anyway.
