Ben McAdoo in Miami today interviewing for Dolphins OC job

Very well could be. Wouldn't be surprised if we get some sort of announcement on an OC hire tonight or tomorrow. Seems to me they made up their mind after the McAdoo interview.

Interesting that it was really fast after the interview, and also the Lazor announcement. I hope you are correct Nubs but it appears as though they have not interviewed Kubiak yet.

League source points out that the Dolphins job isn't exactly enticing to a hot candidate. No job security and uncertainty in front office

If we haven't even interviewed Kubiak yet then why are people saying he's our guy? I think we waited too long to make someone an offer and they all signed elsewhere...

The Dolphins have not interviewed Gary Kubiak according to the Herald.

As per usual Dolphins organization style we are late to the dance again

It's not that we have waited too late to hire an OC but IMO candidates don't see us as a good opportunity because of all the mess in our organization. Who would want to come here knowing they could be gone after one year? No in demand candidate will. We will end up either promoting from within or getting a up and coming guy who is willing to roll the dice for the experience.

I don't think it's that at all. Everywhere that I have read that is coming from beat writers not actual coaches/players... I think no one wants to sign with us because they haven't put the full court press on a GM yet and that is the main issue. Without a GM a Hc doesn't know where he stands with a team. We're not handling this thing correctly... as usual.

It's a little worrying the guy Philbin originally wanted two years ago has once again not ended up in Miami.

Where's my doughnut?

Very surprised. I got three theories here:

1. With Caldwell taking the Lions job, a certain OC I very much want here in Miami became a very real possibility.
2. Joe Philbin gave his boy a courtesy interview (kind of like we did with Matt Flynn) to boost his stock around the league.
3. Ben McAdoo wants no part of lame duck Joe Philbin with front office flux.

The very possibility of #3 should be a cause for concern.

Coughlin can't have many days left even if he has a good season so NY doesn't seem like the safest of choices either. Unless he thinks he can slide in as Head Coach after Coughlin resigns/is fired.

Right but if the 'doom and gloom' scenario is what really happened, that's disturbing. I suppose we will find out soon enough. I don't want to turn into Hayden here, so I'll hold out hope for the G man.
