Ben Tate a Dolphin?

thinking the media using fins here to create a buzz.

I think that we can seriously get an experienced pro RB and upgrade the position. There are going to be a lot of RBs available and the market demand is not too strong.
We can probably be quite selective and get someone who is good at short yardage, can pick up the blitz and has high character, eg MJD, but that could apply to Tate as well as 3 others. This doesn't mean that we dump Lamar Miller. We keep him to give the veteran a breather. He still has very high potential. Cut either Daniel Thomas or Gillislee for $ savings and keep the best.

Come on people, if you think DT is soft, Tate injures himself brushing his teeth. He's good when he plays but he never plays. No thanks. I hate paying people when they never see the field. And this guy was a backup always hurt. Forget it

What does cutting Thomas do to our cap space ? Nothing, don't really understand why he's still around. If it's costing nothing to keep him then waiting for the upgrade via FA or the draft is the smart thing to do. But if he's sitting there taking up room that could be put to use in other areas, I'm not sure that a good idea.

As for Ben Tate, personally I would respectfully decline, better, healthier and cheaper options available.

Some of you are high if you don't think Tate would be a good signing for Miami.

He's a veteran running back that averages 5+ ypc. Most importantly he doesn't have the wear and tear that MJD, Chris Johnson or a typical veteran runner has.

I've always thought Tate is a starting caliber RB, but he's hurt too much.

No thanks already have enough players on the team that can't stay healthy.

Most RB's get hurt during the year, He's an upgrade over what we have and would be better than any RB we would draft.. Don't forget this guy was a 2nd round pick.

Just read that Tate signed with the Jets....... not sure how true it is but thats what I read. :-\
